Last week someone attmeptesd to acces my computer. I immediately killed my connection. The hackers that were on the board a couple of weeks ago must have been collecting IP addresses and randomly trying them. This is what I have: 209.39.250.72 Last users were: Greg Thompson This is a linux or unix box @ "ONRAMP Technologies" This may only be the address of the DNS server I am not sure. I cannot Trace route from where I am to findout how they are going out.

Im confused, so when you have an IP of a suspected hacker or scammer - you call up the Internet provider and hope they give you his info or discontinue his service? They are not allowed to give you address info or am I wrong? Slopain | ||

You can report him. I reported a previous case of an address posted here but it turned out to be a Proxy server of an internet server (which makes sense). THe net admin emailed me back so I gave him the names I just found to check. Slopain..no they will not give your infor up but they (most) will kick you off of their service if they know you are hacking. I was hoping George would pick up the info and it would be helpfull. I know some but I am not a full on hacker..could not cover my tracks well enough..and it is er ahh illegal
