Look Neoforma has apparently lost my amp opener, so they credited my credit card. So I attempted to use the Bic pen top and the first 2 opened O.K. 1 shattered and the other almost did. I know that there has to be some suggestions out there. PEACE. greenhouse ------------------     | ||

Make sure you score the neck with something first (a file or knife for example). Personally, I use a dremel to score the neck and then just snap the top off with a cloth. | ||

I use a fine 3-sided file and score it all the way around the narrow part of the neck, then I just pop off the top with just enough force as needed..never shattered one since I started doing this and never need a pen cap..I tried an amp openner but the blade dulled too quickly. Make sure to buy a new file every other cycle or so as I find a fresh one works much better, they cost about $4. | ||

i use a file too...works like a charm i have found that spanish primobolan doesn't need to be scored first...if i remember it right, they are pre-scored. they just pop right open ------------------ | ||

All this work is not necessary. Either wrap it in a paper towel or use a pen cap and then a quick snap will open it. There is no need for a file, dremel drill, or other apparatus to open them. | ||

why all the tools, remember they include files in some boxes but that is for the weekly sick people who need andogen therapy lol just joking i know it can be hard to open some of those dam amps i love the russian sust cause the neck on the vial is so long. just hold the amp against your hand with first two fingers then use the thumb to pop off i newer had a problem this way yet, yeah watch me shatter an amp the next time i do it | ||

I use a notched pair of scissors (found in a first-Aid Kit) to make a groove on the amp. After that i use a pen cap to snap it. Works all the time  ------------------ | ||

Any kind of file-even my girlfriend's nail file loosens it up-don't go to low-then use a cloth or even tissue to snap the top off-watch for those anoying cuts on your fingers if you don't use some kind of wrap. | ||

Most stationary stores sell exacto blades which work extremely well for scoring.It's like a pencil with a razor-blade on the end of it,easy to use with precision. | ||

I got the 3-sided file at the hardware store, and nothing could do a better job than that thing. The only reason I asked this is because, I did the pen cap thing for like 5 amps and the 6-7 broke on me  Thanks guys the cycle is going good I'm up about 13 lbs. | ||

Good to hear your cycle is going well......I just file one side and only slight scoring is necessary. Then take your pen cap and it snaps right off. Piece o'cake. delts ------------------ | ||

I use my g/f's nail file and this cycle I have opened over 20 amps with no problems. If you don't use a file you are eventually gonna have one shatter, as my friend found out when he didn't use a file. If you are worried about glass particles falling in the gear, just file it and then wipe it off real ggod with a cloth or alcohol pad. Then wrap a towel around it and snap that baby off. |
