Hello all!! Just wanted to touch base with you guys that have done Accutane. Did you mix with gear at all or did you wait until you were finished? The reason I ask is 5 mos. is a long time!! I have some Winny/EQ/Fina/Sust and am thinking about putting together a stck with some of these? Or would you recommend staying away from one or two of these? Let me know what you guys think and experiences with this. As you know the doc gives you monthly blood tests will a cycle throw them completely out of whack you think? Thanks, Tony2     | ||

Accutane is hepatoxic, thus the weekly bloodtests. Androgens found in steroids increase sebacious gland activity, actutane was designed to permenantly dissolve the functions of the sebacious glands. Do you see a conflict of interests here in their simultaneous use? Pick one and follow it to the end. ------------------  | ||

I can only add that I have used Accutane for 5 months but not on juice. It worked for me because it killed the sebaceous glands, which produce oil that make your acne. I was therefore very dry. Though steroids increase sebaceous productivity, I'm not sure there can be any conflict. However, I need to reseach it alot more. Accutane also raises your blood pressure and cholestrol, despite the fact that steroids do too. But to say, it really does work, but I think you should avoid it during your cycle. It might be dangerous. | ||

I get monthly blood tests not weekly. I am in my second month and will start a cycle in 1-2 weeks. Ill let you know, but have heard from some vets on this board before I started - that they had good results, and cycled at some point of the accutane treatment. Slopain | ||

I suggest you ignore the bravado of the vets and their "IT WORKED FOR ME APPROACH". An exercise in hormonal redundancy would be to combine accutane and anabolic androgenic steroids. Do yourselfa favor err on the SIDE OF CAUTION. Follow my advice to the tee. Just because stupid people perpetuate doesnt mean you have to. ------------------ | ||

Tetracycline is prescribed by dermatologists for acne treatment. This will diminish your gains as it inhibits protein synthesis. Accutane should not effect your cycle as far as gains go, as pointed out, it works through a different process. Accutane does have its sides though--dryness,sun sensitivity,nausea,muscle soreness and joint pain. Have you tried otc topical meds such as oxy-10 along with constant cleansing,tanning beds,water,etc. | ||

Yes I have. Azlex, Differin, and Retin-A. All the usual suspects cleansers and treatments from the drug store as well. I know what this is all about, I didn't just jump into it. I think the 4-6 months of annoyance (dryness, chapped lips, etc..) are worth it for the better skin coming off the cycle. Slopain.... I've been on an Accutane treatment before and just started my second course at 80mg/day. It was WELL worth the sides the first time around. My skin (face, back, chest) looked awesome for around 7 months after a low-dose treatment. I'm on the higher dose this time. Just started a Sust 250 cycle so I'm concerned about the blood tests this time around as well. What have the others said about their experiences with the blood tests while on a cycle? I'm curious as to if my doc will pull me off the Accutane if my blood lipids, cholesterol, and liver enzymes are all jacked up from the juice. Welcome, its a great place Im sure you will learn alot, I have. I have heard that the blood test are a little screwy - but that other than bringing it up and asking a few questions they let them proceed with the accutane. I had my second blood test, and they already said it was abnormal, but then they said don't bother we will check it again in 1 month. I think it has to do with the first blood test I had something to eat before hand not knowing that they were going to draw blood. So I figure this one didnt follow the last one, so that raised a flag. Slopain | ||
