actually animal B.... they do relate, but only in terms of water. much of the metric system was derived from the properties of water. the fluid volume of one milliliter was derived from the volume of one gram of water <measure of weight>. not all fluids weigh the same, so this unique feature of water was used for the metric system. volume correlates to distance in the metric system too. since one mL equals one cc, centimeters were derived from the measurement of water too. they really knew what the heck they were doing when they invented the metric system. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
