Well lets see . where can I beign... I awake this morning .. typical day partly cloudy... Start my usaul routine... Eat some breakfest .. goto teh post office.... Get to the gym at 1 pm awaiting my traing partner.. I sense an erie silence.. the girl behind the counter is not her usual self..... I look around .. the regualrs are the all looking like zombies... So as I sign in the girl tell me .. about a kid a mear 22 years old.. that was one of the top 5 fitest and biggest in our gym has commitied sucide.. He was found this morning in his garage with a gunshot wound to his head... At that instance I felt sick.. Got into a trance.. saw a few freinds as they turned to me and eye contact was enogh alone to communincate hwo we felt.. No one made a fuckign sound today in the gym no grunting .. no yelling we talked about the wake arrangements.. and the funeral .. And then we tried to undersatnd.. how a 22 year old .. could think that there was no other way out besides this alternative.. And we joked about how he was .. fuckign hugh.. and seemed like he had it all going for him.. football scholarship and all.. I mean we all know who is on the juice and who isnt.. but I will beat teh fuck out of the first person I hear in that gynm who blames his loss of control and his reasoning behind his suicide due to the fact that he was on and using As... Just asking all to take a minute out of there hectic routine .. and just remeber how valuable life really is and how you only live once........ Peace to all.... We are all Brothers in this game lets be there for one another.... ------------------      | ||

My prayers are w/ u bro. We had a similar situation here in my town about 2 years ago. One of the biggest guys at the gym committed suicide. When it hit the news, they blamed it on roid rage. They had some video of him working out and they put it on the news. he was screaming and acting crazy in some clips. Now he's dead and everyone thinks he was a juiced up crazy man. I hate the press. | ||

Sorry to hear that bro. I just had to deal with one of my best friends doing the same. For those of you from NJ/NY you prolly heard about it. He was 23 and got arrested for dealing. He was in jail for only an hour before he took the draw string out of his pants and hanged himself. All you can do is pray that he's O.K. and know you have someone watching over you now. | ||

Thats a tough one for you bro. Suicide leave's so many unanswered questions.. When I was serving in Lebanon one of our buddies took his life in front of us. Nothing we could say made him change his mind. He shot himself through the head. when the military police investigation was over it was never made apparent why he did it. Sorry for the loss. Suicide is a lonely persons way out. If only someone had been able to reach out to him and help vent some of his pain. The gym isnt enough and when your young your perspectives are all Fkd up. Unfortunately male perceptions of communication are often way off. Its not deemed cool to talk about personal matters in male circles and a woman can only help you so much. Let his passing be a message to others-peace | ||

Well, I'd say bbman captured it pretty well. That sucks. My condolences to you and all the other bro's who were his friends. And especially to his loved ones and family. Suicide is obviously a complex issue, and in my opinion a sign of serious mental illness. And there are a lot of mentally ill people in this world, who appear to most people as quite normal.
