Forget the deca, I agree with bgriff. Take a week off totally, and then go at in light for a week. its better and cheaper then the alternative...going under the knife. You don't even start wasteing until 9 days, so don't worry about losing size or strength

I read deca eases joint pains but does it do anything for repairing? I'll take a week off, go in twice and do so calve, is that cool?

Well this might help if you take in more omega 3 fatty acids. I don't know your intake so dont over do it. but I believe its suppose to help bring down inflamtion in joints. Just another alternative. I would try different things. But I have the same problem with joints and i'm 21. It sucks. late...

IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE WHO IS IN THE IRON GAME FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME. TAKE SOME TIME OFF AND WORK AROUND THE PROBLEM AREA. THERE ARE SOME GOOD JOINT SUPPLEMENTS. ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE USED IS GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE. A GOOD SPORT WRAP OR BRACE WILL ALSO HELP. THEY CAN BE FOUND www.anvilsport.vstoresports.com once there click on sports medecine. Yes joint problems can occur at any age. Are you doing rotator exercises now for your shoulders? If not you may want to consider starting them. For now go easy on the injuried joints so as not to cause more long term problems. ------------------

Take at least a week off from upper body lifts. Research some rotator cuff rehab exercises and do them ever other workout for about 10 min. Always warm up your rotator cuffs before doing pressing or chinning movements.

i'd say see a doctor, but a lot of them don't do much to diagnose soft tissue problems. rest and then light workouts. joints take a long time to heal, depending on whether it is really a joint, a tendon or a ligament. deca helped my screwed up knees tremendously. but i don't know if it really helped the joint or simply masked the pain. the doctor told me i need knee replacement so it doesn't matter if i work my knee since i can't do anymore damage. at your age it does matter. take it easy--play it smart.

thanks for the help....I'm taking some time off upper body (a week or so) Plus that way I can focus on legs and calves a little more. I'll hit legs and calves every 3 days. I'll check with my doc about it/

I second what Anvil said about GLucosomine. I was dubious until I tried it. It was like a miracle. I heard manganese is good for joints too, I take it along with the glucosamine. |
