I've been using Norma Hellas Deca (nandolone decanoate, 100 mg/ml) at
400 mg per week. I thought that Deca didn't have all of the side effects
as other 'roids. I've been juicing for five weeks and feel like I want to cry
for no reason all of the time. My nuts have totally shrunk into raisins, and
I have problems getting an erection. What gives?

All of the "issues" that you're experiencing with Deca aren't uncommon.
While Deca isn't nearly as androgenic as, say, testosterone, it's one of
the more progestenic injectable steroids out there.

What does that mean? Well, Deca has about an 18% binding affinity for
progesterone receptors. So, for every 400 mg that you blast in per week,
about 72 mg of that's going to interact with progesterone receptors...and,
of course, cause some progestenic effects. In fact, at 400 mg per week,
Deca will induce progestenic characteristics that are about equal to what
a woman goes through on the first day of her period. That's probably why
you feel so weepy. It's also the reason your marbles and libido have
withered away.

Is there anything positive about Deca? Sure, it makes your joints feel
wonderful, it doesn't cause as much water retention as testosterone, and
it's a great steroid for retaining hair and keeping the prostate in check.
Now, the progestenic side effects that I mentioned usually only manifest
themselves at or around the "400 mg per week" mark. This seems to be
the threshold dose at which these side effects start to show up in some
users. However, once you get to about 600 mg per week, virtually all
users feel these progestenic side effects. Does this mean that we'd give
up on Deca? Not at all!

One thing to do would be to stack some stanozolol with Deca.
Stanozolol is purported to have some progestenic-blocking ability.
Another thing to do would be to add a hardcore androgen (like
testosterone or trenbolone) to the stack to pick up the slack on the libido
end. Finally, one might consider a switch to something similar to Deca,
like one of the Equipoise clones out there, as these are a little more
androgenic and less progestenic.
