Hey folks,I just changed jobs, from construction(painting ) to retail ,selling paint and building supplies to the public and contractors as well.I will be cycling in a month and a half and wonder if its hard to deal with people that can be difficult, even co-workers.I'll be doing a d-bol/omna cycle and I know I'll be a little shorter in temper than usual.Anyone else in this situation and if so how is it going?Thanks.......Chino

Predisposition towards certain behavior is far more important to consider than the "MIND ALTERING" effects of Androgens. If your an asshole in your day to day life, than the intorduction of testosterone wont help your plesant disposition. Coming from spanish decent, I am a firm believer that spaniards all have the potential for a nasty temperment. However, I realize this and make extra effort to implement added self control in my day to day activities. ------------------

Dude, just think about the fact that you're trying to earn a living, and how you treat that person might determine if/how much they hand you when the day is through--that's all it'd take for me to kill 'em with kindness, but I'm a very calm, relaxed, nice person, naturally. You gotta be when you're from Texas, and esp. if you go to Texas A&M!! We say "howdy" and "gig 'em" to everyone we pass on/off campus, no matter what age/race, etc.!! ------------------

Its easy to be in a good mood when you stay in a good mood. Its hard as hell to get out of a 'rut' especially when your ON and someone is bugging the crap out of you. Ultimetly its up to you, yeah I have a tendancy towards getting mad a little easier, but I make the decision whether to act on it or not. Im not an animal that does anything his instincts tell him - I have control over me. Its easier for me at work to keep my cool because I know its far more important than saying something rude to someone that cut you off on the freeway. Slopain

Thank you my brothas..........I think I'll be alright ,I'm just stressin from the new job experiance and all that comes with it.I'm definately not starting my cycle until I'm comfortable there.I am what you would call a laid back guy by nature, but being in sales for just a few days I see it can get stressful and I see co-workers snapping at each other.Kill em with kindness I think is the philosophy to live by.So be it.......Peace......Chino

Thank you Mav! You beat me to the punch! Steroids are more of a personality "intensifier". Testosterone is actually a feel good hormone that promotes calmness and well being. Estrogen influx causes the irritation, but in no way makes you "rage" uncontrollably. Its a media created myth. If youre an asshole, you may become MORE of an asshole... but you were an asshole to begin with so whats the major change. A lot of guys have a phsycosomatic rage. They either think they should, so they do. Or they do because raging is so masculine and manly (yeah, OK). Of course no one who has ever raged would EVER be able to admit that, especially not to themselves much less to anyone else. So the myth is perpetuated...

I am in the same situation as you. I am a bouncer at a club in Phily and when I go on the juice I kick out double the amount of people as when im of the juice. My advice, try and stay calm. |
