To give you my opinion on the original question of this post, I would say, no, most mail sources are not around after six months. And it's not based on any data, it's based on my experience and gut feeling.

Why? Perhaps because some new sources are young and inexperienced (no insult to the younger bro's meant at all),found a pipeline to a supplier and decided it was the ticket to the Jaguar. Then, they realized how fucking difficult it can be as a source -- a fulltime job -- got overwhelmed, unresponsive, incompetent, etc. And failed.

Then there are the scum of the earth, the motherfuckers, the same kind of people who bilk old people out of their life savings: the scammers. And there are way, way too fucking many of them out there in this business.

Also, like some bro's have speculated before, some sources start out good, then for some reason, consciously turn scammer, something I still can't comprehend really.

If you have a solid bond with your source, then ordering large and ahead makes sense. Your source will certainly cut you better discounts as a valued longterm client. Otherwise, my opinion is to stick with smaller ("personal use" sized) orders. My 2 cents.
