another question, sorry for 2 posts in a row but I haven't been on all day today becuz of school. While cycling, would it be ok to workout early in the morning, then workout the same muscle groups again later that night after work? or is that overkill?

I wouldn't work the same muscle groups twice a day. 3 days rest minimum.

i have read that you can do high reps in the mourning and low reps of the same muscle at night, but both work-outs should be less then 45 mins.

Bulgarian weightlifters workout 2 to 3 times per day, and they squat every workout. Lifts over three times bodyweight are common. Still, these are weightlifters and not bodybuilders.

it can be done, but 2 workouts a day cannot b4e effective training for bodybuilders, at least non-contest prep bodybuilders!

even when i was training for my show, i would only lift 4x a week...and i didn't train at all during the last week!!! <only posing practice>

When I'm an bulk cicle I just work one time a week the same muscle.

Did this when I first started training. Went to the gym twice a day and did full body workouts. 6 Weeks later I realized I didn't grow at all.

Could it not be used to break plateaus? Say once a month on a lagging body part, hit it twice a day?

If you have truly taken the muscle to failure, there is no way you would even think about training that muscle again the same day. Sometimes I don't even want to train that muscle again the following week because I remember the pain I went through..
You will see much better gains sticking to once every five days..
