Remember people will say anything to be in power, look here we were not supossed to have no new taxs every election. When passing laws in Mexico takes a long time initiatives have to go thru congress to be approved, this year Mexico is going to have a new congress and new president and that means also new cabinet members, so I don't think it will happen any time soon. I am always in touch w/ many people south of the border And you will be posted of any changes as soon as they come about. From what I hear if anything in the next two years the only thing you will ned is a script for your gear but considering more than half of the clinics down there can write there own scripts, plus all the Dotors down there always have there hands out and ready to help I dont see this being a big prob!     | ||

Here is the truth about these new proposed regulations: As of right now the S.A.G.A.R. (mexico's version of the FDA) has passed a law requiring ALL mexican veterinary steroids & ketamine to be available only by prescription. Most pharmaceutical companies in mexico have already seen this new norm (legislature). The next step is for the new norm/legislature to be entered in S.A.G.A.R.'s manual (periodical given to all pharmacies, pharm. companies, vet/graneros stores- stating what medications are legal/illegal, controlled/non-controlled)...Once the new norm has been entered into the manual the law will become official. The pharmaceutical companies then have 2 months to argue their case after the law has passed. But the law will pass. More than likely, this is what could happen: 1. By January of next year, ALL vet steroids & Ketamine will only be available by prescription. Getting a prescription won't be a problem...but getting a prescription for more than 10 or so vials of any particular product will be. 2. An agreement could be made between SAGAR and the pharm. companies allowing Ketamine to be the only controlled veterinary med. Unfortunately, after the law is in effect you will see a TON of fake/counterfeit vet products being sold in mexico. And you can bet that the price for vet meds will go through the roof. The two companies that will be affected most by these new laws are Denkall Mexicana and Fort Dodge U.S.A....Fort Dodge will more than likely stop exporting their Ketamine and Equipoise to Mexico and Denkall will be forced to stop their importing of stanazolik, denkadiol and maxigan. |
