What were you doing? It sounds like it could be a strain. Can you still flex your foot up and down? Put weight on it, do toe raises with body weight? Keep icing 20min on 20min off. No heat. chesty ------------------

This is a guess, but you may have ruptured a blood vessel. Did it once in my shin. I would keep ice on it till you go see the doc. Also, keep it elevated above your heart. That means flat on your back with leg straightened out and raised, resting lots of pillows. This will help control the swelling as well. Let me know how the doctor appt goes. chesty ------------------

Sounds to me like you tore it, but not all the way through. That thing will take forever to heal. The best thing is to stay off it as much as you can and keep taking some Advil or Motrin for the inflammationa and pain. If it doesn't get better in another day or two go see the doc. Peace DrZ

good lord dude, you must have been under some severe weight, accompanied by one hell of a hyper estension of the calf to cause an injury like that. ------------------

Yup, sounds like a tear to me, doesnt sound like you tore it from the bone though it would be all balled up. Gve it a couple days if its not better go to the doctor. Either way though its going to be along time til you feel 100%, calf injuries take forever to heal. Sorry Bro.

Sorry Big Wiggs, But whatever you do... DON'T STRETCH IT!!! You probably have a severe tear as it is and if you try to stretch it out, you will tear it some more. Should not stretch it until the pain is mostly gone. NOT right after an injury like this. Peace DrZ

Bro this is the sort of thing that only a doctor who can see the injury can tell you.

Going up the stairs!? Wow! My suggestion would be an MRI ASAP to see the severity of the injury. If there's bruising, that's an indication of bleeding, so you tore something. Go for the MRI. Until then, RICE. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. Good Luck. The Doctor

It's only been a day get to a sports doctor have him check it out, Did it hurt worse day of or after the injury(pulls or tears hurt worse as days go by,then get better). Calf pulls suck they make tough to even hobble around

Shoot the other one full of pgf2a, even out the swelling and the pain.

I did the same thing to my pec years ago, it swelled up like I had a D-cup and there was a line of bruising going up and down the muscle, I say it is a partial tear, I couldnt do shit for a good month, neither should you. ------------------

26" !!!!!!! Go have that fucker checked, there's no "Slight" injury that will cause that kind of increase, if you have insurance its not going to be a big thing. I dont care if you strap a glacier to your leg ice wont bring that down.

Hey bud, sorry to hear of your demise. I just tore a pec 50 off the bone with partial muscle belly tearing. I heard and felt the exact steak tearing sensation you described. GET TO A DOC, if it is a tear from the bone you will never be the same without surgery. I did the same thing with a quad and a hamstring. Same noise, same feeling, the last time with my pec, I just put the bar down and told my partner I need to go to the hospital, so I don't know if that makes me an expert or an idiot. Good Luck
