Dejavu gentlemen, I just got done addressing a post where an individual under the age of twenty was expressing his frustration due in part to his perseived lack of strength relative to others his age, younger, smaller, and on his athletic team. Immediatly he informed us of his dedication, his hard noised training. He involved himself in postive failure training, twice a week, once a week for his legs, along with an "excellent" diet, he still was perplexed as to how he can be inferior to these other persons. Lord knows, how often I pressumed to have everything in my life orchestraded perfectly, raving about why as a teenager I wasn't progressing the way I knew I could. Low and behold, on comes another person far superior to me in experience and knowledge who in a fraction of a second diagnose wtf I was doing wrong, and sets me straight. This individual in his post figured that the only solution to his problem had to be in the form of Anabolic/Androgenic supplementation. Certainly, there are many members here who will provide him with that vary information, but is that what this guy needs? Damn, if I havnt seen that shit before in my own highschool, college and gym. Persons impatient for results, hitting the androgens, realizing those results, then slowly relalizing their temporary nature. Well, hell whats that person to think. His diet and training are straight, not even steroids presented him with a viable long term solution, whats next? They fuckin quit entirely. I highly doubt this scenario even closly mimicks this particular members situation. Instead of advising him on a temporary solution to a frustrating issue, in a second after reading his post I saw the problem. This guy was simply overtraining. Yes, even testosterone rich 18 yearolds can overtrain. Considering the average head strong teen involved in resistance training is more about brute force and volumn than simple efficiency. This guy need only train individual body groups once per week, if he intends to train them to total failure. Situation solved, the use of drugs were avoided, he continues to expand upon his natural base. Man does this happen alot. ------------------

That is human nature to look for a quick fix. Sometimes there are other solutions to use. It sounds like gear definately was not the answer in this case. ------------------

Considering I'm only 19, too, I hope y'all don't consider me one of "those guys" by reading my posts. Honestly, I don't care what anyone actually "thinks" about me, but I hope y'all (and the vast majority have!) respect the fact that some of us actually do A LOT of research before even considering crossing the natural line and starting a cycle! I haven't crossed it yet, but when I do, I'll know what I'm taking, what it's gonna (hopefully) do, what the posssible sides are, and what to do to combat those sides. Thanks to all those who do give great advice on these boards--I agree, there is no quick fix, and I wish more guys my age would get that! ------------------

you know I just really began to notice this summer how Many people really do overtrain and they wonder why they dont experience any type of growth or strength. Having seen this and completely understanding the fine line between overtraining and just enough, I have begun to adjust my routines accordingly, and feel great. I only train 4 days a week, doing each bodypart once a week, no more. I have a friend who is still in high school, who I have trained with on and off due to his laziness and he is one of those looking for a quick fix. He is either going to train a bodypart 2-3x per week or it would be every other week or so. I had recently found a source and here he is saying he wants me to get him some dbol to he can get huge quick. I'm sorry but your not going to get any, and even if you did, you wouldnt maintain any type of gains due to your laziness, lack of ambition, and shitass diet. He's the type that thinking eating 6-7 pb and J sandwiches a day is going to get him bigger, no supps, no protein sources to speak of. It makes me sick. Well, ladies and gents, lets sit and thank the Lord for our dedication, knowledge, ambition and skills that we have been blessed with. Put em to good use, for we will be the ones that stand out from the rest! |
