get depressed while on a cycle. this has happened to me on all my cycles. i get an instant boost at first, i feel great and energized. but then it feels like i hit a brick wall and just get depressed all of a sudden. i feel sad and stressed out all the time. my only sanctity is in the gym where i can be at peace. but outside that, everything seems in disarray and in shambles even though their not, its like my problems are amplified beyond exageration...

does anyone else have this problem and what do you guys do to combat it?

TAKING STEROIDS CAN CAUSE MOOD SWINGS. IT IS A MEDICAL FACT. JUST LIKE BIRTH CONTROL PILLS CAN MAKE A WOMAN MOODY. IT IS JUST ONE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS OF STEROIDS.

While juice can cause mood swings, it almost sounds like you get anxiety attacks or mild depression.

I usually get the opposite. I feel great and my overall mood and sense of well being improves dramatically. I thought everyone pretty much got this, as testosterone and most (all?) test analogs are mood elevators and can even be used for mild depression. I guess not.

I can't imagine why you would get this kind of reaction. If there are any psychiatrists on the board, they'd know brain chemistry the best and might be able to figure it out.
Maybe you can check out Medline and see if there are any abstracts addressing this.

Doc, Some guys it lasts an hour some it lasts for days. What goes up...

Hey ryry, LUVS2JUICE can hook you up... Sorry I couldn't resist.

I wish I could be more help I know the feeling.

As if you guys couldn't I am very previlant to mood swings. But it only starts after a brief discussion thats tends to get the emotinal juice crap flowwing.

But I always live and I never hurt anybody beside myself in the end.

Stress is very hard on the body. And in the end Stress can kill. Not the people that cause it.

If you want the ultimate rush, you have to be willing to pay the ultimate price. just live with it, maybe take zoloft to counteract.....just stay in the gym where your happy!

ryry, try some St John's Wort. It is natural and not that expensive. It works to enhance the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for bringing the body back to homeostasis following an excitatory incident or prolonged amounts of stress.

well Ryry , it happens to the best of us ( i feel it more when dieting than any other time , i attribute that to low blood sugar ). Depending on what your doing as far as AS sometimes i think its just the test breakdown (est, progest, M test , DHT , etc. ) other times it been a lack of androgens ( deca only type cycles ) . Regardless , it will pass , hang in there .

Im a freak. I feel my worst when Im off. When Im on Im growing, Hard, and have mad unstopable power in the gym. When I come off I feel smaller, weaker and that I have less energy and I start looking forward to my next cycle. At least when you come off you feel "normal" Hang in there The Freak

Yeah bro, I was experiencing crazy mood swings. But they were from like hour to hour, Sometimes I'd feel like i was on top of the world, than an hour or so later i'd either get depressed or just plain pissed off at everything. Almost lost my girlfriend a few times due to the mood swings.
