I count my numbers to the t. I measure and weigh everything precisely and know exactly what I am consuming. I know the maintnace calories, gain calories, and loss calories for myself on the dot. Diet is the most important thing to me so I take it very seriously. At one point I had developed an obsessive compulsive disorder with measuring and counting everything. I have gotten over that but I still try and do it exactly right. I have kept a diet journal everyday for the past two years. I could tell you waht I ate on November 30 1998. People like friends and family think I'm mental but it works. I stick with what works. IP: Logged |

I used to be obsessed with counting, tracking, etc... It got to be too cumbersome for me. For me, I found it helpful psycholigically to simplify it and just focus on eating a lot, making sure I get my protein, eating relatively cleanly and tracking my progress via the mirror, scale and strength. It's easy enough for me to adjust my diet up or down as needed to meet my immediate and long-term goals without overanalyzing it to death. I personally just feel better if I'm not always fretting over carbs, fat, calories, etc... IP: Logged |
