there is a guy at my gym who just got off his bulking cycle and started a no-carb diet. he eats nothing but meats and fats pretty much but he's losing weight like crazy. He said he eats a big plate of bacon for bfast and he'll get a triple hamburger at wendys and just eat the patties, stuff loaded w/ fat and he's dropping body fat. he said his body is burning fat for energy intead of carbs. i've never really read up on it but has anyone done this and had good results?

The ketogenic diet is the best diet for quick weight loss while sparing lean muscle!!! I have used it many times and have not ever been disappointed. If you want info on this get Bodyopus by Duschaine or The Ketogenic Diet by Lyle McDonald, and check out this site http://www.solid.net/lowcarb/lylemcd/week00.htm this guy cronicles his first experience on a 10 week ketogenic diet cycle. Enjoy!!!

The diet works when you wanna cut down on weight for a short period of time. I tried this diet, and lost around 15lbs and dropped 8% bf. The only thing is when i went back on my normal diet, i gained it right back. if you really wanna keep the pounds off, stick to low low fat

ive done this diet before and droped like 10lb of water from a 1250 mg test cycle.after
that i didnt seem to lose shit,i find that just eating below maintanace calories and doing cardio is more effective for me.
i also got fucked up headaches on the keto diet.i guess its not effective on every one.
isnt it basicly a calorie game i mean could you theoraticly lose fat by eating below maintanance calories but all your calories came from sugar? i think its possible.

Along with taking your fiber, I would also do, ya know, a medium intensity cardio during the mornings, a few days a week. Then, when you come off the no carb diet, and back to your nomral diet, don't forget to adjust your intake to your new weight. Then, bump up the cardio to a med/hi intensity, Mon,Tue,Thur,Fri to help adjust.

A lot of people I talk to, tell me they go back to eating thier "normal diet" from before they lost the weight.

Also, from what I've heard from people, prepare yourself for some bad breath that no-carbs can cause.

Hey it works I've been on a high fat diet less than 30g a day all week and on the weekends I carb up and lower my fat intack
It works both way I've gone from 350lbs and a 51" waist to 187lbs at 3% and did my first show that was 4 yrs ago and now I've been adding weight and compete at 225lbs and have taken 3rd for the New Englands But I to will move on to a/s now that I've trained for awhile and have to gain more it's not humanly possible to get to 300lbs and stay lean w/o so I'll start in 4 weeks.
