That's it. I am officially done with slin, I am sorry, that I will not be able to partake in its benefits, but after trying it for the third time yesterday I am convinced, it is not for me. The reason: I think I am hypoglycemic by nature and propably have extremely sensitive receptors. Yesterday I did 6iu of Humalin-R in the morning. I followed it with 60g of high-glycemic carb (malto-dextrin)80g of whey, creatine then a package of shredded potato with egg-white omelett 1.5 hrs later, then the shit started: I felt weirded out and extremely tired for the next 8 HOURS, always snacking on high medium and low glycemic carbs, but to no avail. Therefore I have decided to forgoe slin..... IP: Logged |

I hear you bro, there is nothing worse than being sensitive to compounds that other people can use and make gains from. Right now, I am having problems of a diffrent kind. I have flu like symptoms and I can't figure out if it is from the test or the xenadrine that I started using two days ago, I did a shot of primotestin saturaday and I also started with the xenadrine that same day. It sucks to ache this bad. IP: Logged |

maltodextrin is glucose polymers, which are not complex but simple carbs with very high G.I. Only maltose is higher in G.I. [This message has been edited by Mr. Nobody (edited August 14, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Keep in mind that there are two types of hypoglycemia: Reactive: high intakes of carbs cause too much insulin secretion. Prandial: insulin secretion is high all the time. In any case using exogen insulin MODERATELY would improve your condition, making your body secrete less insulin. I think youre just using too much insulin, lowering your actual dosage by 3-4 IUs would prevent your symptoms. ------------------ IP: Logged |

then i am at 2-3 iu's Is there any benefits in doing that? I was not concerned, neither do i have a problem with hypo by itself, only when taking exogenous slin do i run into problems. OK so why not just using the carb surges by itslef to release my own insulin, or insulin boosters? I suppose my next experiment will be with glucophage, i shall see if i have more luck with that [This message has been edited by Mr. Nobody (edited August 14, 2000).] IP: Logged |

The lethargy is due to insulin's effects on serotonin. Insulin increases the transport of tryptophan across the blood brain barrier, where in the brain, tryptophan is converted to serotonin. Serotonin is a sedating neurotransmitter and is most likely the source of your tiredness. On low carb diets, serotonin levels are low, while norepi is high, this causes the nervousnous and irritability that many complain of. IP: Logged |
