I do occasionaly (I would say once every 2 weeks) have around 3 to 5 drinks at once at social gatherings. While on the gear would this be any amount of alcohol to be concerned with. I have also found that once you go over 5 drinks you get the bad side effects the next day, why I stop at 5 : minor to major hangover, noticable fat storage, flat looking muscles, feelings of weekness. Under 5 I don't see much difference the next day. Any of you notice this to? IP: Logged |

Alcohol increases your levels of aromitase in your system and consequently converts your test into estrogen. We all know that elevated estrogen levels are bad for bodybuilders (not so much for gyno in this case as the amount wouldn't be that significant) as the body will store more fat when estrogen levels are elevated. Combine those empty calories with elevated estrogen levels and you put on fat. I too like to drink but based on these facts I try to keep it to a minimum and use alternative forms of intoxication for social purposes. (usually ghb) I never touch alcohol while on cycle. Your livers under stress already and I can't afford the down days due to the hangover effects. IP: Logged |

Very true Gamer. Like I said I notice these ill effects at 5 or more drinks in one sitting. I try to stick to lite beer or mixed drinks with diet soda. Life is all about balance and weight training is very important to me and diet as well but so is catching that mild buzz with buddies and enjoying life a litlle. I used to drink a lot more when I was 13 to 16 and training as slowly over the years curtailed that to a almost nil. I like to pop a Valium to here and there as it acts similiar to alcohol and has no calories. IP: Logged |
