This may seem like a strange thing to post, but I think it is worthwhile to mention. Like many of you probably do, I love chocolate. Whenever I eat a normal carb diet I retain alot of water. My face looks slightly puffy relative to when my carbs are low. My definition is also blurred. But whenever I eat chocolate such as Hershey's Kisses between meals I notice that I shed alot of water. My face looks normal again, and I can even see the vascularity in my abs. This has been going on for awhile now so I am positive the chocolate is what is causing the water loss. So for all you Traxatone users, here's an experiment you may want to consider. At least you will enjoy it either way.

This is pretty funny but you never know. I would have to think that its not the chocolate that is doing work. The sugar in the chocolate could be the extra vascularity and the caffeine found in chocolate might have a very small effect on you water retention but I would doubt it to be that effective.

I've heard of this before. I don't remember where, if I read it somewhere or someone told me that. I have no proof of this nor have I tesed the theory myself but you're not the only one who has mentioned this.

BEEZERS, I've heard that too. It was actually some pro BB who said that w/in an hour or so of a show he eats a slice of raspberry cheesecake and this makes him more vascular and adds def. in his abs. For me, it just makes me fat.

on a high protien low carb diet your blood sugars will be low...you will crave..like me know a chocalate bar..you will get a rush of sugar(glucose) will cause dialation of blood vessels...vascuarity...Im doing this now...preparing for a show..right before the show as you know,,,you drink wine or eat chocate...to get that vascularity..

I'm suprised this post generated this much interest. I don't have a theory to why I get this effect. I drink coffee and I don't really lose any water due to the caffiene but whenever I eat these small amounts of chocolate, the difference I notice in myself is like night and day. Apparently, from what you guys said, someone else has written about this in the past so there may be some chemical in it that causes the diuretic effect.

it could be a chemical we haven't even discovered yet....like the phytochemicals of green plants that botanists recently discovered in the last decade or so....science is still in its infancy....it's an exciting time to be alive!

Take care,
