Hey guys and gals....Chef here. I have an appointment to see the doctor tommorow for a look at my chest. I have always been a little puffy in the tits if you know what I'm saying. Not bad, just want to have it looked at. Here is my question. I have gained about 35-40 pounds since my first cycle of T200/Dbol, and I have some visible acne. What are the chances of the doctor noticing, or asking me if I take AS? Should I be honest with him? Do they narc on you....or is there a privilage type thing like a lawyer? My thought was to say that I've tried AS to help with building my chest up so that the Gyno was not as noticable. What do you think. Has anyone had any good or bad exsperiences with doctors? Thanks for the help....bump this to help out some others who may need to see a doctor.

He may or may not know. If he asks and you tell, then he cannot tell anyone. It is doctor/patient confidentiality (as long as you do not admit to committing a crime). ------------------ http://2thick.elitefitness.com IP: Logged |

be honest with your doc bro.......all info between a doctor and patient is supposed to be confidential but i still told my doc not to put my steroid use on my chart. you should be having blood work done when using heavily anyway so you should tell em. tell em you used a mild cycle in the hopes that your gyno would dissipate and that it didnt get any worse and that youve tried nolva, clomid, proviron etc and nothing seems to help. ask him to put you on a mg of armidex a day for two months as youve read that this can reduce gyno--let him know that its physically painful as well......hope all works out Unity66 IP: Logged |

Dont say anything. Im an rn in an er and believe me the idea of confidentiality is a joke. I have worked in three hospitals in 3 states and there all the same. Once you say you use them it will be in your chart forever.I have always feared(since this is the information age)leakage to insurance companies. The safe-gaurds in place are a joke. Unless your sick and it may relate to AS use keep it to yourself. Remember your pcp has access to your chart as does his secretaries, nursing staff, and anyone he refers you to in the future. It will follow you around like a conviction. The Freak IP: Logged |

I am a doctor, (chiropractor) and I hope my patients don't hear this-patient confidentiality is a joke. You are there for a reason, gyno, therefore tell him that and only that. You will be much more likely to get some sympathy which translates into him thinking he has something to offer you. Bottom line-go in there and tell him you are using and he will probably flip and ultimately he will tell you the gyno is your own damn fault-deal with it. On the other hand, like I said, go in there and plead innocence, give him the opportunity to play god and you will be pleasantly surprised how much he/she will be willing to help.

The freak has a point there. Simply stated, all major insurance companies belong to what is called the Medical Information Bureau. It moniters medical records from claims made to member companies. These records are shared by member insurance companies and sold to others. Its like the way bad credit follows you, but this shit never goes away. Pay cash and don't admit to using. IP: Logged |

I agree with Jersey Boy here. Never ever tell the Doc. It will go on your chart and become a part of your permenant record. You will be labeled as substance abuser. If worse came to worse you could tell him that your using Andro. At least that's legal and they won't be able to say anything. IP: Logged |

Like Genetic Freak I am also an RN (although not in the ER) in a hospital. Do NOT put even admit that you have a Hx(history) of AS use (or ABUSE as they will label it). ANYONE in the office or medical records dept. can have access to it (inusrance companies also). The bottom line is unless you really trust your doc then admitting to AS use is a no-no. To be honest you could admit to alcoholism and get more respect and sympathy because alcohol is still socailly acceptable and not a DRUG (LIE). Tell him your gyno was from MUSCLETECH's ANOTESTON _HE_HE! GOod luck... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Dr / patient confidentiality is a joke. My wife works in a hospital. She works in social services dept. Like one of the other bros said, once you tell your Doc something, it goes on your chart. Most of all of the hospital staff has access to your chart. This includes all nurses, social workers, whatever.. Any of these people would know of your use if they simply read your chart. Chef, I think I told you this once already, I did medical claims for several years. The chart these guys are talking about usually gets put into the MIB (no not Men In Black) the Medical Information Bureau. It's a database that insurance companies use. If he puts it in there it might be hard even to get life insurance later. [This message has been edited by ulter (edited August 11, 2000).] IP: Logged |

If he is trustworthy, I would tell him. In either case do not let him put it in your medical records. IP: Logged |
