Hey guys
I'm preparing for a contest soon and my trainer is telling me to train with lots of clothes on so I sweat alot. He also wants me too hit the sauna, right up till the day of the contest.

I have always thought that heat caused retention and too stay cool and drink a ton of water. Is this guy on glue or what?

Any experienced help would be appreciated

Fuck this guy. You'lle sweat but just store it right back as soon as your drinking water. The only (non herbal or prescription diuretic) way to really beat water retention is to lower your sodium intake and drink a ton of water. Most trainers don't know shit. This is especially true if they work in a fitness center rather than a dungeon type of gym.

Lower the sodium, do the diuretics and DO hit the sauna room for it can help a little bit with some water retention and give you a tight skin look.

I know this is crazy, and kind of pricey but a read in a magazine that (I can't even think who teaches this) has his BB's drink a case of Diet Coke each day 8 days prior to their show and they get really cut up. I don't remember who, what, when, where--but everyone was praising on how well this naturally takes out ALL extra water.

Yea but what about all the bloating from the carbonation, that would make you feel like crap. Why not just drink tons of water and take caffine pills (diuretic), same results without all the carbonation and sweeteners.

The case was a 24pack thats alot of coke no matter what it can't be good for you.

No joke Low Sodium and take 3-4 Chitisol pills a day...it flushes the shit out of you, trust me. You can buy it at GNC

As far as natural diuretics go, I don't think anything beats Cytodyne's Taraxatone. I would swtich to distilled water about a week out then slowly (start out at like 2 gallons for days 7-6, then drop some water each day) decrease water intake, while at the same time increase (one dose for days 7-6, then add a dose 'til you hit 3 a day) the Taraxatone. This has worked well for me, considering I have a CONTEST TOMORROW, and am harder and leaner than I've ever been before! I'll post pictures soon, hopefully when I start a member site on Elite Fitness!
