My lower back pain is to the point where I have had to stop squatting and deadlifts. it starts to hurt if I stand up for more than five min. I have been on a cycle of test, d-bol, eq for 8 weeks and have gained 35 lbs. anybody think of what it may be caused from. its literally lowering my quality of life and i dont want to see a doctor unless i have to. see a chiropractor, dude. They're real good with spines and bones and nerves and lower backs. Another option is to take a bunch of painkillers and fuck up your back for life. See an expert, 50 bucks for the first visit or something. Unless the reason you didn't want to see a doc was a monetary one. IP: Logged |

What is the cause of the pain. Poor technique, over use...? Then I can tell you how to correct it. Im trying to overcome a torn meniscus in my knee and have done ok w/out surgery so far. IP: Logged |

Do stretching while you read at your monitor. Do SLD's instead of DL and squat to help build up lower back muscles. A heating pad on your lower back may relax the muscles and help the disks move into the right place. I wish I could afford a chiro! IP: Logged |

just a thought, perhaps its your new found bodyweight. 35 lbs is alot to put on in a very short period of time, your body is not yet used to it, hence the back pains. i know cause when i came off a bulking cycle and put on 20 lbs, i was having some discomfort everytime i would go run, i felt like my lower back was going to give out, and my legs were going to explode. after a couple of weeks though i got used to it and now i'm running like i did before... ------------------ "The greatest risk is not taking one." I have been to the chiro for a similar situation. And it is happening again. I called him, he reminded me to keep stretching. What he has told me (in the past) is that the Hamstrings and glutes get tight, and pull on the erectors. So- stretching, and what also helps, is to do heavy crunches...tighten up the front, to equalize the tightness on the backside. IP: Logged |

I'd go see a good sports med doctor. I went through a really bad lower spinal condition called spondolyosis (sp?), where a small bone in my lower back cracked. It's not something to mess with. I'm now restricted to do just hacks and other leg exercises where my lower back is supported. I cannot do squats anymore for the fear that I won't be able to walk after doing a heavy set. D007, I think the cause is your new 35lbs. I have heard this same problem many times before. Your body is having trouble adjusting to all that new weight. What is your BF%? I have heard some people say that they had this problem and once they lost BF they felt 100% better. Peace...Mav IP: Logged |

Legpress is terrible for the back, if you care about your backs health you will scrap the legpress. Squat light and right and when you have mastered your form then go heavy. Do light goodmornings to recover from the injury. DO NOT RUN. IP: Logged |

D007, see a doc man. If you can't find a good sports doctor, depending on where you live, then a chiropractor is certainly a person who can help you. It's sounds to me like you have really injured yourself, given it's your lower back, and I don't think just taking a few days off is going to help much. And it's going to take time to heal; take it easy! animal B, got an opinion on this? You're the resident chiro here. Dexter ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have the same problem. It is the erector muscles. I think they get super pumped up when standing, especially when walking. Stretching seems to help a little. I have put on 26 pounds in 8 weeks and have a week to go. I bet it is the new, added weight as well. Hell the walk from my car to my desk makes me want to shoot myself, it is a burn from hell!. chesty must be all that test and deca dbol IP: Logged |

Thanks, everybody. to extreeemrush, it is a super pumped feeling like lactic acid from high reps. ajc and the others are right. its from too much weight but im not going to bitch about that. lasty chestyII, you said it. it just feels like a crazy PUMP that I would normally enjoy if it were in my arms. after the responses which I appreciate very much, I think im going to continue to stretch, cut up and stay mobile. oh yeah Ive gone from 215/13% to 250/14% cycle updates are comming and they may contradict what you currently think.
