I have a chance to get some Proviron, but one quick question. I used the search but my question didn't get answered. What is Proviron and what is it for? On the search people were talking about it with nolvadex and clomid. IP: Logged |

Proviron is in my eyes a very useful ancillary drug. It keeps testosterone from aromitizing into estrogen without cutting into your gains. This is different than Nolvadex which merely (but effectively)blocks the estrogen receptors. You won't rebound the way you can with Nolvadex. The other interesting thing about Proviron is that it can actually create more free testosterone. This is because it has a much higher affinity to the SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin)than test and other AS's. It consequently occupies the receptors on the SHBG and leaves more active AS in the system to work it's magic. Those that understand the science and physiology behind how AS's work will understand why this is so valuable. It's hard to believe that only abot 2% of our AS are actually free at any one time. Makes you wonder how powerful these drugs could be if we gould free up even another 2% without raising the sides. For anti-estrogen abilities I usually take about 50mg per day and only add nolvadex if gyno symptoms actually start. I also always include clomid (at least EOD) which helps stop estrogen in a very similar way to proviron by blocking the conversion of test to estrogen. Hope this helps. I've never heard that clomiphene (Clomid) blocks the conversion of test to estrogen. Clomiphene selectively blocks estrogen receptors, which is an entirely different effect. IP: Logged |

Do a search (please see the search feature on the top of the board). 300Kleen presented a very good and concise summary of Proviron. I love it. It take 4 tabs per day, even when I'm not on cycle.
