I know that some substances are best absorbed sublingually, is it also so for oral steroids compound? I'm troubled by that because a lot of drugs have a higher effect taken this way, on the other hand since most orals are 17-A I'm not sure that sublingual ingestion would bring any additional benefits. No it will not. If it did such an administration tecnique would be proscribed. Sublingual absorption takes place through better chemistry. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have also heard both arguments for this question. I think if there is better absorption by chewing or placing pills under tongue then i would say it was only marginal and certainly not worth the aftertaste, especially if your munching on em like smarties. ------------------ IP: Logged |

It's not true that "all orals must go through the liver to be effective". Orals are effective whether they go through liver or not, but of course they do go through the liver. Orals are different than injectables in that they are 17-alpha-alkylated, which allows them to pass through the liver relatively intact. Ideally we should like to have a steroid that managed to avoid the liver, as such a steroid would be very long-lasting. It's the liver that breaks down the steroid. IP: Logged |

thats wrong juice seeker not all orals is absorbed by that way (trough the liver) i dont remember what kinda drug it was but there was some anabolics / a supplement to anabolics which could be taken , absorbed in the mouth , and it takes 10-15 minuts IP: Logged |

Hey bros... Well, the only thing that is going to dissolve under the tounge and inter directly into the bloodstream (by-passing the liver) is something that is water soluable. Orals are not water soluable. But there is one way to get them to enter the bloodstream. Cyclodextrin. Cyclo is shapped like a megaphone. The steroid molecule fits inside of it and the megaphone, which is water soluable, can shuttle the steroid molecule across the phospholipid bilayer of the blood vessels. When it gets into the bloodstream, the cyclodextrin dissolves and you are left with the steroid molecule itself free to do its job. You loose lots of the oral due to digestive processes. If this method is used, you will retain almost 100% as opposed to 65% if it is absorbed in small intestine. The most effective way would be to take it intranasaly because under the tounge would cause some of it to dilute and run down the throat giving an 85% turn over rate. Sounds awsome huh! Well problem is the steroid molecule has to be chemiclly inserted into the cyclodextrin "megaphone." I don't know if you know who Patrick Arnold is but I've spoken to him about this. It could be done but none of the pharmacutical companies have thus far employed this method. I've emailed some of them and asked why they don't use this method and haven't gotten a response. Patrick developed this procedure for norandro. www.ergopharm.com I've used a product that he makes called norcyclo with awsome results. Its not like regular andro. I made serious gains. But I was taking 500mg a day which is very costly. Maybe if we all write to some pharmacutical companies we can get a response and an awsome product out of this.... -stew IP: Logged |
