As many of you may recall, I completed a 10 week bulking cycle in the end of June (sust/equipoise/reforvit) and gained 53 pounds. pre-cycle: 245 @ 15% body fat SHORT-TERM GOAL (10 weeks): I'm starting a cutting cycle and my target is to lose 5% body fat (leaving me at 6%) while maintaining as much of my bulking gains as possible (at least 80%). I will also spend time shaping and adding definition to my new found muscle. Here is my planned cycle: 10 week cutting cycle ----------winny---primo---eq---clen I will also be taking cytomel with this stack. Here is how the cytomel will be cycled: day.......dose DIET: My diet will consist of the following break-down: 2700 calories daily 15% fat I will experiment a bit with carb-cycling. I plan to use 20% carbs as my absolute maximum, cycling down to 0 carbs (only trace carbs) for 2 days each week. Any longer than that and I tend to get irritable and lethargic. CARDIO: I will add 5 days of cardio to my workout schedule. Each morning, prior to breakfast, I will spend an 45-60 minutes mountain biking. I've chosen this cardio for 2 reasons: 1. I tend to get bored staring at a wall in the gym for an hour. 2. Once I've gotten 30 minutes from home I have no choice but to ride 30 minutes back home Just as I did with my last bulking cycle, I will provide regular updates on my progress. Wish me luck....it's going to be a very long 10 weeks. [This message has been edited by SSMAN (edited August 07, 2000).] IP: Logged |

First of all let me just say that you have got to be the most organized body builder since Dorian Yates!!! Cant wait to see your weekly posts again. Question though, you said you were looking to keep about 80% of your mass cycle gains and you've already lost 29lbs. Unless I'm doing the math wrong you've already lost close to 50% of those gains. Are you planning on gaining more muscle from the cutting cycle???? IP: Logged |

Heres a little something Ive been meaning to throw out there for a while... Ive found that when Im cutting with gear, and its not for any upcoming event, I have way better luck with a heavier androgen! I dont know if its the incresed nitrogen retention or the more powerful partitioning action, but Ive even cut with sustanon. This is of course only when not preparing for an event and when water retention isnt a concern. To me (in the above situation) I perfered the more powerful effect of a heavy androgen and to just deal with the water later (which isnt that hard). I also stay in the 2-3 gallons of water intake per day, and that actually seems to prevent a great degree of retention... Just a little tidbit I wanted to share to get the wheels of replies rolling. I may actually post this as an original post to see what everyone thinks... IP: Logged |

@LRG - The winny I'm using is 50mg/ml by Ilium (20ml) that is distributed by ausvet. Yoda - I am down 29 pounds, but look at my body fat percentage. I've gone from 298 @ 15% to 269 @ 11% (about 12 pounds of fat lost). The next consideration when analyzing my weight loss is water retention. I was on 1000mg/week of sust and 75mg/day of dbol, which equals a lot of water. Since the completion of my cycle I've been taking diuretics to rid myself of the excess water (probably around 15 pounds). That narrows the loss to only 2 pounds since the end of my cycle. ajc1977 - The intentions of my cutting are overlapping between contest prep and personal. I'm not scheduled to compete until next year, but this is the best time to determine what areas I need to work on. dballistic - My diet varies greatly from day to day. For protein I stick with chicken, turkey, tuna, and milk. My carbs are derived from clean-burning sources such as rice (or trace carbs from other foods). IP: Logged |

Once again SSMAN......your post is both informative and detailed. I'm going to go with something similar in early spring and I'm going to use some of the great methods you've described for us all. As an individual with only one cycle under my belt, it's nice to get complete and explicit info like you provide. ROCK ON BRO! delts ------------------ IP: Logged |

SSMAN, that wasn't a flame Bro, it was an honest question. I think I know what you mean now though, your not looking to maintain 80% of your total gains, your looking to maintain 80% of the lean portion (muscle) gains. Sorry for the mix up!!! Your still an inspiration to us all!!!! IP: Logged |

I am just curious about the Eq. Since yo did the Eq on the bulking cycle, wouldn't your receptors be saturated and doing it again would yeild minimal results?? I am wondering this because I just personally finished a d-bol, eq, winny cycle. Oct 1, I am starting a bulking cycle with sust, d-bol and deca(instead of eq). I would do the eq again but, I was afraid my body wouldn't react to it Because I just did it?? Is two months off enough for receptors to completely clear out, so gains would be possible from the same gear?? IP: Logged |
