Hi bros. I'm having lots of troubles getting the requisite amount of protein each day by feeding my face. I've decided I should probably down a couple of protein shakes per day. I've searched the archives and everyone seems to have an opinion on what's best. I've kind of figured that the brand name doesn't matter much (or does it?). What I'd like is a powder that: a. mixes well with water I work in an office where I can't get home to a blender during the day. Any advices on what's best way to mix or best product in this situation is appreciated. BTW, if it matters, I'm about 230 lbs and trying to hit 2g/lb of protein. Thanks! ------------------ IP: Logged |

After three years of looking I have the answer for getting your protein. 1. Buy a blender for 19.95 This makes for an EASY 3 servings of about 40 grams of protein (very low carbs) to drink between meals or whenever and it doesn't taste like shit ------------------ IP: Logged |

By the way...I use EAS Myoplex (I like the taste-not Bill Phillips) and Optimum 100% Whey protein (it's cheap). This works great for me. IP: Logged |

ajc's suggestion of pre-mixing it in the morning and taking to work in a 1 qt cooler is excellent and is what I've been doing for 6 months. I find that if I mix it first thing in the morning and refrigerate it for a half hour or so, it remains cool for the rest of the morning. IP: Logged |

Try to get one that has Whey concentrate and Ion Exchange Whey, as these are the highest on the BV Scale. I use Iso-Pure it's a little costly but pure protein. Also get some tupperware, put 2 scoops and when ready add water from water fountain and shake, that simple. IP: Logged |

For price, purity, and taste, I tend to like Lee Labrada's Pro-V 60, with 60 grams of a 3-whey blend in 2 scoops, but I usually just make one. It mixes easy, tastes great, and I like Labrada's lab testing procedures, all of the tests always come out great for him. Just my 50th of a dollar... ------------------ IP: Logged |

I agree with the other bros on the pre-mix idea. For the past two years I have been using protien from Nature's Best. Its by by far the absolute cheapest I've seen. I get 50 lbs of whey for $200. Yes, its a pain in the ass to have a huge box of protien crowding up my closet, but the savings is more than worth it. I dont know if they have a website, but the phone numberis 1-888-9purest. F cheap protein. If you put cheap gas in your car it may keep running, but it will run like crap. proteinfactory.com get the whey isolate $8 per lb. Isolate is the highest grade of whey and it mixes like you wouldnt believe. I just put it in a plastic bottle and shake it. IP: Logged |

Try Honest Whey from www.thepowerstore.com. Mixes in water with just a shaker cup. 7 pounds costs about $45. It has pretty much zero carbs. Good stuff, great company. ------------------ IP: Logged |

OK FlexMex...I admit, I don't buy mine online either, because I've got a friend that manages a GNC...I get it pretty cheap too. Gotta love those GNC Employee discounts. IP: Logged |
