I know all the pros and cons of AS so this is not a newbie or opinion directed question. I am looking for a solid medical answer and even though I value all of the brothers input, this is serious, atleast to me. I have had three Acl reconstructions on the same knee. I am two months post op and while I know heavy leg lifting must be replaced by high rep low weight for now, I want to do a cycle for small gains and I know what I intend to do and how much. The question is, how much time do I need to wait to start a cycle that is light on heavy legs and instead high on reps and low weights and low doses that are low yet beneficial w/o harming my knee? Please give the most educated information that you have?

that whole last question is a bit unclear. if you are asking for how long before the ok to go heavy or whether to stay light, why not just ask your physical therapist. im sure you have one with so many acl ops. as for the AS portion, it will only help the muscle rebuild so anytime you have the ok to train and you feel you will be able to get proper stimulus to the muscle then go ahead. seems pretty straightforward. noone will be able to say "3 weeks" or whatever without looking at your medical background, the rate of progress you are making with phys therapy etc. better find out from a doc as to when you can get some weight training on it and go from there.

Thanks,
That is my thought's exactly however I thought there might be some bros out there that have been there done that and might have already asked a trusted PT. I feel like I could start tomorrow, and legs will be focused on light weight and high reps for definition combined with low doses for gains. I just thought someone has walked through the door I am about to and can give pros and cons?

Hey bro, im not an md but i have assisted on many a acl reconstruction. there are too many variables that you dont know right now. two months out is to soon, not because of the surgery but because your muscle strength will out pace your recovery pace. are you still going to pt now, if you are ask them to let you start on weights easy. why has your graft failed? and what type of graft was it? to be truley recovered a lot of people take up to a year. go slow, and work it through pt or your doc. mach2
