   After four days of qualifying events, the top two competitors in each heat advanced to the finals in the WSM today. The finalists are: Pfister Samuelsson Vagadal Dixon Girard Badenhorst Virtanen Muhr Karlsen Pudzieanowska I was realy dissapointed to see phfister make the finals I think he my least favourite strongman of all time. But it was great to see both Badenhorst and Girard make the finals. Girard only just made it after a lot of people were picking himto win it aqll this year. Place your bets for who will win this year. I am going with Samuelsson or maybe Pudzieanowska for a big upset. IP: Logged |

Hugo Girard trains at my gym and he better kick some ass...  Last year he finished fourth and this year he said he was going for #1... We where expecting him to do much better in the semi's. He tied for first on day 1, day 2 he was second and day 3 he was third... He is very strong and hopefully his strong will will make him wake up and whoop some ass for his fellow canadians! Dirk I have seen pfister now in a lot of comps and I think he is a second rate competitor who has got to the WSM final 2 times and never legitimately won a place in the final ever he is all 3rd or 4th and gets put in because somebody else got injured, yet he talks like he is a great strongman and has made the finals all these times . After the 98 ( pfister and girard had both placed 3rd and got in the final because of injuries ) comp he put down girard in an interveiw for not making the finals properly even though he had not made it there himself. Plus I like the pure strength strongmen better usually, like badenhorst Ahola guys that can deadlift and squat, pfister has the worst squat I have ever seen in my life. I will have the finals results up as soon as they happen, I think they start the final tomorrow. IP: Logged |
