ok guys...well my legs are really pretty good but my rib cage is shallow and not deep enough. feels like the muscles are too tight or something... what do you guys think of breathing squats to help this... this is my normal workout for legs. sq very deep...2-3 inches below parallel and work up to 365 for 2 sets of eight with a belt on...i was planning on then using a pretty light wt and doing 20 rep squats emphasizing very very deep breaths through the chest. i have read about this from very man sources...and would pullovers help...thanks... I think the results depend on your age....I did get some gains from the pullovers when I was in highscool....but, if you do squats like you said you are going to, your whole frickin body is gonna grow..again, I think the younger you are 17-21 the better chance you will gain more/faster....older guys like me just add muscle we cannot change the base much....good luck. Bro, I squat very heavy (600+) and I don't use aq belt except for near max reps which are occasionally 700+. The belts are too constricting. Also, your body will nto strengthen the lower back if it becomes dependent on the belt (the main reason I only use it for max lifts). Try doing a lighr set without the belt and see how your breathing goes then. Matt IP: Logged |
