Before the flamethrowers come out... .. ... . . . I open mine with a flick at the neck. hod the amp tightly (not to tight) then flick at the top above the skinny little neck. Or use a file to score it at the neck or dot or ring or whatever is by the neck. Now, let the flames begin. I score the neck with a file or say blade and pop the top off. I score it so that I am sure not to break the amp, i just like to play it safe cause I hate to waste a dose  IP: Logged |

I file them also, but I don't have a small file so I use a 8 in triangle looking file. Hey it works. Sometimes I file until the top flicks off by itself. I guess I get too excited. ------------------ IP: Logged |

All great answers. Make sure you wrap the amp in a towel just in case it shatters. I personally use a wire stripper to score my amps. BPP IP: Logged |

i use i file to score the neck of the amp, , then wipe with alchol to remove any glass shaving , next i place a pen cap over the top of amp and wrap the amp in a paper towel . finally push on pen cap and it snaps right off. thats how i was told to do it from someone on the board and it works great. keeps your hands from any glass. I tried the amp opener today with primo, fucking thing shattered in my hands. Then I wrapped it in a paper towel and just popped it off with no problem. ------------------ IP: Logged |

If you use a file to score the amp just be careful not to press to hard. I've done that and shattered an amp on the bathroom countertop. That sucked big time....... "B" IP: Logged |

I use a steak knife to score the amp, and the same knife to tear off that damned plastic from the syringe. Just be careful when youre popping it off, I've had one pretty much shatter in my hand. Luckily I didnt lose the omna, but had some chunks of glass floating in my testosterone. IP: Logged |
