I was wondering. Do any of you hit both muscel groups on the same day (Pulling and pushing). I do complete upper body on Monday and Thursday, then hit the lacking parts on Saturday. I have noticed that I have platued again. Do you thin over training is the problem or just reaching certian limits of the body parts due to genetics. This routine has been working for the past 2 years with good results now slow to none. Any suggestions. IP: Logged |

Yeh, I do compound exersizes that recriut alot of muscles. I try not to look at it in terms of bodyparts anymore, rather in terms of the the exersize I am concentrating on that particular day. I posted my ruitine in a thread about ruitines yesterday. IP: Logged |

The problem I find with a push/pull (i.e. Back & Biceps, Chest & Triceps, etc) is that the smaller body parts, which are usually trained last, are usually too fatigued to go all-out-balls-to-the-wall when it's time to train them. My point is that training antagonistic muscle groups together (i.e. back & triceps or chest & biceps) seems to be better for me because the second muscle I train will not be tired from assisting with the first muscle group.
