Just curious to know whether it is possible for certain types of people due to their genetics or body type, even at a very low percentage of bf (below 6%). Their abs still do not show? In other words, no matter how hard you train + proper diet the only result is a flat abdominal area at the most. Any comments? IP: Logged |

it's probably true. i got down to 2.3% b.f. and i still have to flex to see my abs. they're well developed, too, but i hold most of my fat around the upper ab region, making the horizontal separations hard to see. it sucks. SUCKS!! some people have abs even at moderate bodyfat percentages. IP: Logged |

I have a hard time getting my abs to show , but I like to think that anyone can do it id\f they train right and get their bodyfat low enough. Decibel are you sure that 2.3% bf was an accurate measurement?? you should definately see your abs at 2.3% no matter how bad your genetics are, especially if your abs are well developed as you said. I think it can depend on how you train them too, high reps is not always the way try using a heavy weight and maybe 10 reps on ab exercises, it has worked for me before. IP: Logged |

Wouldn't you be starving at only 2.3%BF? It doesn't seem healthy to stay that lean. Right now during my bulk, I've put on a considerable amount of fat, and I can still see the horizontal lines in my abs. The midline is long gone, that's only around when I'm lean, but I would say my BF is up around 13-14% and my abs are still showin a bit. I think it's genetics. I train abs once a week with only a couple sets of crunches and a couple sets of leg raises. I would definitely think that some just have to be leaner than others. Good luck getting yours to show through though bud. IP: Logged |

Yeah decibel, 2.3% and still no abs? You should be able to see your heart beat through your skin at that bodyfat level. Sucks to be you man. Peace...Mav IP: Logged |

I got the same fuckin problem and it sucks. Even when I'm lean as shit my abs only truly show if I flex or I'm in the sun. I think I found the answer to this problem though because I just started getting better results. I started training my abs real heavy (sets of 7-10 to failing point) and they popping out more now. I use to train them hi reps (20-30) http://www.geocities.com/richmaffei/pages/home.html IP: Logged |

yes, i swear it was 2.3% i'm still ripped right now but starting to hold water from the sustenon. i guess my abs must be pretty sucky, then. i'll try the heavier weights. i'm convinced it's genetic, though. i pretty much always keep a deep vertical separation, but have a hard time getting horizontal lines to show - bp66 is the opposite. strange. yeah, it's hard for me to get the mid ridge to show. i have to be around 10% or less BF for it to be cut down the middle. i have the midline still in the uppermost row of muscle in my abs right now, but below that, it's mostly just the horizontal cuts. like you said, it's probably genetics.
