Should I be suspicious of unsolicited emails for gear? Had a few so far not sure if I should try them or not but it's that or nothing. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I would not try them. Most likely scammers. Good sources do not need to advertise. If not sure, e-mail a Mod about that e-mail source. ------------------ IP: Logged |

If you were spammed or an e-mail just pops up out of nowhere I'd definitely just delete it but I wouldn't say that anyone who advertises is a scammer, even the very best had to start somewhere. A reliable source will be very careful who he chooses to advertise to then once he has a corner on the market he'll either rely on word of mouth (which can be Russian Roulette in many cases) or target only those who he knows he can trust.
