Aside from the cadiovascular benefits of aerobics, why would any of you chose to do aerobics? I don't believe it's the most effective fat burning exercise. I read a lot of advice on this forum to do aerobics and watch your diet to cut up. That's a huge mistake. Diet, definitely is a major key in fat loss. But if we look at real world examples and not theoretic evidence we see that anaerobic exercise would be the best choice for fat loss. The ancedotal evidence, by far the easiest example, is the difference in sprinters and long distance runners. Which body type would you choose? I'm pretty sure those sprinters don't do a whole lot of long distance running in their training regimine. But they are cut, defined and muscular. While the long distance runners are lanky, smooth and puny. Of course a portion of this is the natural genetic potential and the make up of slow and fast twitch muscle fibers, but I have to believe that their training reinforces this.

Recently I've read that a few of you are starting to do windsprints for your cardio, which I think is a much better plan of action than straight aerobics. It's a misnomer to call windsprints an aerobic activity since it's not. It's completely anaerobic, at no point is your heartrate in the aerobic zone for an extended period of time. Your muscles are not being supplied a constant supply of oxygen if you are doing windsprints, your supply of oxygen is replenished during your walk or joggin portion of the windsprints.
Is this logical? Or do you think I'm completely off base? I'd like to hear your responses? Personally I haven't done true aerobics in over 3 years and I've never been above 10% BF. I usually stay between 6-9%, and as a side note I've yet to do a cycle of AS, but I plan to soon. I'm still doing my research and I believe I'm going to do a cycle of test cycle similar to what duchaine laid out.

In my own warped-ass opinion, I think cardio is crap and a complete waste of time if you want to build muscle. You're right on the money. Look at the sprinters and look at those flabby-ass marathon runners.
