Most of the time the drugs that are used have been tweaked so that the metabolites that show up in the urine sample don't match any that are being searched for. The Europeans have better access to this system since they are "helped" to win(pass the test) by their sports governing body. Although I am sure that many US athletes are "helped" in the same way by coaches that have access to knowledgeable chemists,,,, IP: Logged |

I hate to burst your bubble guys, but as we speak they are in the process of creating a test for GH. They also are debating whether or not they should stick to the traditional urine exam or switch to hair testing, which will show everything that you have taken approximately for the 6 months prior to the test. It's still up in the air... Masteron was undectable up until a couple years ago. I would really like to see some new AS's or performance enhancing drugs that are undectable or close to it....makes me all excited...lol ------------------ IP: Logged |

I don't think they will switch to a hair test...then all people gotta do is sahve their entire bodies....and if the committee complains they just say that is how they liek thir bodies, and plead discrimination...blood tests onthe other hand I have heard taht they were thinking about using....

Bro's Ok an intresting thing on the hair test is that say you or me have been in contact with a street drug say cocain for example if we touched this and say did our hair shortly after we would have contaminated our hair and if this was then tested it would show up on a hair test even if you had not done any drugs. There was a thing on this a while ago that some police men had a hair test and failed as they where in the anti drugs unit and came into contact with drugs quite often and there hair had be contaminated but they had not actually used any drugs...! So there is a small problem with it but i cant see how u can say "Well i had a load of deca get over my head when a friend opened a vial and it broke and went everywhere..!" ------------------ IP: Logged |

Drug testing on hair is EXTREMELY overrated (I've performed the test myself). It's not very sensitive, and a relatively significant amount of the hair is required for testing. Also, the length of the hair is of concern... the longer the hair, the more history it holds. HGH can be tested for, but, as of now, it is not specific to whether it's natural or synthetic. I think the testing lab might be suspicious of high HGH blood levels. I'll find out if this is tested for in international competition. I'll check with the USOC to see what is up with their latest testing methods. If I find anything, I'll update everyone here. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Notes from the USOC on hormone use: "The presence of an abmormal concentration of an endogenous hormone or its diagnostic marker(s) in the urine of a competitor constitutes an offense unless it has been conclusively documented to be solely due to a physiological or pathological condition." Hormones tested for include: HCG, LH, ACTH, HGH, IGF-1, EOP, and Insulin (and "related substances"). And, as of now, urine is the specimen of choice for testing. ------------------ IP: Logged |
