if i let my chest rest for a week, it tends to go down on me, and get softer....i think i have the chest that can be trained 2x per week...after a hardcore chest workout, my chest is sore for 2 days...lets say i train it on monday, its sore untill wed..thursday the soreness is gone away...should i train it on friday? wiht a routine like this? monday: incline press..3 sets..8-10 reps tues: legs thurs: back bis fri: flat press...3 sets..8-10 reps ...this means one day upper chest, and the next session would be mid/lower chest..another meaning is, my upper chest from monday workout, will be sore for 2 days, but i will work, my chest ( lower not upper ) again 3-4 days later..i will do this for a month....wiht this routine, for a month, i will be bulking too, with food..any suggestions? thanx IP: Logged |

if u do that, your chest won't have enough time to recuperate after your 2nd chest workout (friday). You have 3 days between your first chest workout and your 2nd and only 2 days before it starts over again. IP: Logged |

I give myself a full 7 days for every workout. I would rather not overtrain. So far I have had good results. Remember train hard though. Just because you are only sore for 2 days doesnt mean you have fully recovered, you still are growing and recuperating. IP: Logged |

i do a 5 day split, technically you train chest twice a week, since if you trained chest monday, then youd do it again saturday, only problem with a split like this is that your rest days fall on different days each week, and most people have certain days they like to set aside for an off day...but as far as the routine you put down, that wouldnt be too bad if the second chest day of the week were a light day, that way youd be ready to go in 3 days IP: Logged |

I found that my chest could be worked out more than once a week. I think if it's not sore and you feel like you can train it go for it, you can always change... I found that I was recovering really fast so now I go 4 weeks on and on off like this: monday: chest shoulders, triceps Tuesday: back traps biceps wensday: legs thursday: off friday: chest shoulders triceps saturday: back traps shoulders sunday: off I can ussually do this with no problems, Since I'm training most body parts twice a week I cut down on sets to eight per body part..
