After doing my first steroid cycle and running out of gear I lost all my drive to work out. For awhile it was ok because I had no ambition to train. Now I would like to begain training again but still dont have the drive. I am 35 and have a family and dont have alot of time to train. Its been 1 and 1/2 year since i quit. I have worked out a few times in the last year but its just not the same. I had trained for at least 10 years. Anyone got any advice it would be greatly appreciated IP: Logged |

It's hard for me to work out when I'm "natural" too. The gains just come too slow and It's hard to stay motivated. I wish you luck Bro! IP: Logged |

It all depends on how bad you want it. You have to feel that emotion inside of you. It's got to eat at you all day. This emotion is what drives me to the gym everyday. I feel it in my blood, all I think and talk about is how I can improve every aspect of my physique. I'f you generally feel these emotions running inside of you, you can get back up and make a comeback. Start of with short intense sessions if you dont have enough time. Believe me if there is a will there is definetly a way. IP: Logged |

Its all about how you feel about yourself. If your okay with how you feel (look)then cool. If not then do something about it. I get my motivation by looking in the mirror and wanting to be bigger and look better (muscle dysmorphia????). JUST DO IT............"B" IP: Logged |

Bro, I've been around quite awhile, and heard it all....and everybody here has went through it..!! Ring a bell Bro's...Broke up with my girlfriend, getting a divorce, injury, I have 2 children, my job...etc. The list is endless, and somewhere along the way desire fades to the shadows...!!! Once you step away from the game, it's that much harder to get back in to it....as you get older...even harder Bro....!! Ranger's advice....quit whimpering about how hard it is, get off your dead ass, and hit the Iron Throne...all you need is a good kick in the ass to get ya started!!! Anybody you know still bleed Iron? Tell them your getting back in the game, ask them what time they are at the gym...show up and work in...there's no magic secret here Bro....it's inside of you, and no one else....words on a screen can't get your ass through the gym doors.....Desire to be better than the average fat fuck will!!! Your choice Bro...Plain and Simple!!!! ------------------ IP: Logged |

You have to find the drive inside yourself, no one else can give it to you. I had the same thing happen about 8 years ago after training for about 15 years. It slowly came back. At first I felt the way you do now and it gradually built up until I started again and havent stopped since. I think in my case it had to do with starting a new job in a new town and working lots of hours. Good luck bro. IP: Logged |

madmax2, The other bros have said it all, you aint gonna get shit with respect to external motivation. Put simply, every day you either choose to grow or you choose to decay, take YOUR pick. But, to answer your question:
quote: This is not much in the way of advice butI used to put my training log on the inside of the door to my place. Every time I walked out it was in my face as a reminder of what I HAD TO DO that day, week, month, etc. I probably did it more for structure than motivation though. As I side note, I happen to have a vehicle/driving VIOLATION NOTICE (just a warning this time) from 9/99 pasted onto the door of my shitter right now! BWWAAAAAAAA!!! But seriously, if I get popped again Im fucked so I stuck it there as reminder. Some things just never change. Good luck. Later, IP: Logged |
