after 5 years of lifting, i have barely paid attention to diet...for the past month or two i have been on a somewhat cutting diet which consisted of 2600 calories, 63g of fat, 249g protein, 246g carbs per day...it has been effective, as i have lost nearly 15 pounds and have a bodyfat of around 7.5%, with my waist shrinking from 36 inches to 31 inches...now i would like to start training very hard and am going to boost my diet to support more growth, it will be 4,160 calories, 108g fat, 344g protein and 458g carbs...is this a good balance? i would like to maintain my lowered bodyfat and smaller waistline, do you think this will make me fat? input would be appreciated...by the way, currently i am 5'10" 197 pounds

unfortunately, at this point, i dont have any good variety...lots of egg whites, chicken, cottage cheese, milk, bread, and a couple of protein shakes...maybe as i continue to work on improving my diet, i will find some good variety...but basically i eat about 7 meals a day, trying to cut that down to 5 or 6 though, cuz i just dont have time to eat that much

I personally would cut back on the fat a little, maybe around 90g, and just eat more carbs...depending on what kinda a/s you are gonna take and how easy you gain fat, will determin how much fat you will gain...just play around with the numbers a little and see what works for you...I can help you more if you want, just email me...
Good Luck...

Well if your trying to bulk you cant worry about gaining a little fat around the waist, but if you want to keep it to a minumum, than you have to figure out if your calorie intake is greater than what your burning through out the day.If it is then you will gain weight. If you burn more than what you take in you will lose weight. That simple, Try wathching your carb intake and do some cardio in the morning so you can keep the fat gains to a minumum.
