I've read on many threads that you shouldn't use alzeic acid while on deca, but no one ever gave a reason as to why. Do any of you guys know of the reason why alzeic acid shouldn't be used while on deca? IP: Logged |

Azelic Acid is used as an acne cream. Basically it removes the DHT from your pores and the surface of your skin. My guess is it will help with any acne resulting from. Natural - Mike IP: Logged |

Unless you want substantially more hair loss, don't use Xandrox(Azelaic Acid)on your scalp while using Nandrolone. In a nutshell, Azelaic Acid which inhibits alpha 5 reductase is worthless with pretty much anything that isn't a testosterone.(including Primo, Dbol, Deca, Winny etc..)What you need is a complete and total blockage of androgen receptors in the scalp. Your best options for androgen receptor blockers include two things: 1)Spirolactone is a powerful antiandrogen. You can apply it topically but it stinks like all hell. 2)Flutamide is much better option although it is substantially much more in price. This comes in tablet form and needs to be crushed into a fine powder and then dissolved into a minoxidil solution for topical application. Your last option would be something that really isn't on the US market yet. Immunosuppresants. The best one being Tacrolimus. You can order this at www.communitydrug.com. You will need to get a prescription first. Try Dr Lee at www.minoxidil.com From what I have gathered this stuff is the best hair loss combatant yet and will grow back a lot of people's lost hair. Immunosuppressants have been touted as best hair loss weapon..BUt look closely at the word..IMMUNOSUPPRESSANT, this stuff wipes out your immune system and makes you susceptable to all types of things, unless your talking about topical application, but then I'm not sure how well that would work either..Make sure costs don't out-weigh the benefits. Yeah the tacro from communitydrug is topical. Not much is absorbed into your system so I would not worry about any immunosuppressive side effects. Actually, FK506 (tacrolimus) was found to be effective for hair regrowth only in topical form. Orally it didn't do much for regrowth. This is different from cyclosporine, another immunosuppressant, that was found to regrow hair when taken orally but was ineffective when applied topically. Now I would not use tacrolimus as a bodybuilding supplement. For one, it is VERY expensive. It MAY be effective at regrowing lost hair but the best solution is to not lose hair in the first place. Therefore use spironolactone or flutamide with deca and other steroids and use propecia and/or alzeic acid with testosterones. IP: Logged |

Great Info guys, but I think the biggest problem you're gonna hear is that most people STACK!!!I for one am going on an Omna/Deca cycle and I have been pondering what I am going to use for hair preservation. I have the Nizoral shampoo, but I don't think that is enough on it's own, so I came to the conclusion that I am going to use spinactrolone, since propecia or xandrox can't be used due to the Omna. That was until someone brought up immunosuppressants!!!Now what should I do? IP: Logged |

Joeson, I'm guessing that was a typo, propecia and xandrox are the best things you can use for your hair while on test(omna being one), but you can't use them while using deca. So either lose the deca, or thing of something else for your hair loss. But I still want to know why azelaic acid can't be used topically while on deca. anyone?? IP: Logged |

Joeson, If you have a choice, drop the deca and replace it with something else. Equipoise would be a good replacement if you can get it. If you are determined to do a omna/deca cycle, then I would just use the spironolactone. Immunosuppressants are an 'after the fact' agent to try and regrow lost hair. They will not prevent or block the harmful effect of the androgens. And as I mentioned it is quite expensive, so I would only use it if you've already lost a considerable amount of hair. Even then there are no gaurantees that it will work. Your best bet is to drop the deca and use propecia and/or xandrox. If you keep the deca, use spironolactone or flutamide (if you can get it). Gaav, The reason that alzeic acid should not be used with deca is that, as Tony mentioned above, it is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. These inhibitors are good with testosterones because they prevent them from converting to DHT (dihydrotestosterone) which is very hard on the hair. Deca (nandrolone) is also reduced by 5-alpha reductase into DHN (dihydronandrolone). Apparently, DHN is much less harsh on the hair than nandrolone itself. Nandrolone by itself is very hard on the hair. The reason most people don't lose hair on deca only cycles is because it converts to the much less harmful DHN in the scalp. If you prevent this conversion, by taking alzeic acid or propecia, then the harmful nandrolone will attach to the receptor in the hair follicle and cause you to lose hair. IP: Logged |
