well hummmmm of course I have a lawyer. I accually have two lawyers. I was hoping to get some good info and ideas of how much others have spent in their defense? I have already been fined 1,600 and my lawyers have already charged me 12,000. I have not even met the lawyers yet. Anyone have a some info to share? IP: Logged |

Isn't that what the lawyers are for? No flame intended but we don't know anything other than you were busted at the border. I don't think you are going to get any good responses here. Maybe if you gave us some more info but that is still not for sure. Why don't you tell us how you got busted. That would be a good place to start. I am honestly sorry that this happened man. I don't want anyone to get busted for this shit because it pisses me off. Just leave us alone and go catch some crack dealers. Fuckers. By the way I am drunk right now. Anyway I hope things go well bro. We will pray for you. BTW, was it considered a personal amount or did they get you with intent to distribute. first what where you charged with. Also is 5 years the max. is it state or federal charges. I got 18 months probation for a possible 25 year sentence. Manufacture of cannabis, poss. of cannabis, poss. of controlled substance, 2 deliveries and 2 sales. 5 felonies and 2 misdom. IP: Logged |

THis was my first offense. Next it was a total of 400ml of vet stuff. I can prove it was for personal use because I have a stack of medical records that prove doctors have used anabolic steroids on me before. I have am a disabled veteran and my disability is what I was treated for with steriods. I have hired R. Collins from steriodlaw.com and another lawyer in Texas. I was driving a car across the border and I have already been fined $1600. They charged me with a federal felony. Is that enough info? IP: Logged |

all right federal felonies carry mandatory minimums. The judge can and will sentence outside guidelines on first offences. I havent ever been to fed court, but my lawyer was a fed court lawyer and i wouldnt expect anything more than probation. Of course i have no idea about how pissy people get over roids. my gut instict says probation, I was facing 15 years, and rather not get into it...I was innocent...finally the judge saw it that way before trail and dropped all charges...if you go to trail, it takes one person, maybe a gym head or veteran to say not quity and its over , but your financialy in the hole...by the way after, I never paid my lawyer...didnt feel he helped me...they like to prolong the case for more money...if you have medical records an are a veteran you will be in the clear... That really pisses the hell out of me!!! A disabled veteran tries to bring back a personal amount of gear and all of this shit happens. I wish I were not in my shoes at this point. Thanks for some of the info I am paying a large bill as of now, but my lawyer R. Collins from steriodlaw.com says he has a good feeling about the case. I am one of the few who really has a medical reason and I have all of the paper work from doctors to support that. Also since I am a disabled veteran without a record he likes my chances. I hear that most people in my shoes without these things I have normally get a fine and probation. But do you think I could do better then? Just to let you all know I was in the Coast Guard drug interdiction unit in Miami FL. I have medals awarded to me from different missions such as search and rescue, war on drugs, and Haitin Cuban operations. How ever during this time is when I got hurt and that made me disabled. SO that leads to now and I have had doctors recommend the use of gear for my disability. How ever most will not use it because of the law. IP: Logged |

yes but remember when you go into the service you dont expect to be fight drugs. Next I still as I do now, feel that the US has some of the worst laws in the world. I mean it is unreal how its a fact that smoking kills but its still allowed? I just needed medical drugs and I am going down for it. I always found it funny that at the age of 18 a guy can die for this country but when he is in the states he cant drink? How is smoking weed any diff. than anything else people smoke everyday....? I feel helpless in this fight against the goverment and I am getting the feeling that I am going to lose my life over me wanting to help my disability........How ironic it is that I was hurt working for the goverment and when trying to fix my medical problem this same goverment wants to put me in jail for it????? I agree with you it is a fucked up situation, but all and all it is just going to be a hit to your finacial stability rather than your whole life. My little problem cost me over $20,000. i cant say much, but i do know if it is your first offense the punishment wont be too harsh. like animal said maybe probation or comunity service. the best thing i can tell you to do is keep stating that it was intended for personal use only. the law is much more strict if you are selling rather than using. swol IP: Logged |

Thanks for the concern....I keep telling myself everything happens for a reason. But the damn thing is I am not sure what the reason is? I have trouble walking because of my knees and this medications could of fixed that......but instead I have made my life even worse than it was before.......I am starting to wonder what kind of country it is I live in? Also for the guys who said they would be willling to send 5 or 10 $ to help I appreciate the offer but I would not want anyone to send me any money directly as I feel that would not be right. However if you would want to send anything to help my fight on this you can send any contributions to my lawyer who is Rick Collins of elitefitness's steriod law. He is one of 2 lawyers I have at this time. Just tell him my intials are TRC and he will know who it is for. He is working very hard but being that he is in NY and the case is in TX it is not easy.
