O.K. I doubt it's cancer because i've had it for about 3 years now and it is still the same size.... it's a lump in the mid-right side of my back... it's like a lump of hard fat or something under my skin... theres no change in color or anything...it's the same color as my skin... it's about 1/2" in diameter. I am prone to acne on my back... big ones too... but I think it would be gone after 3 years! anyway anyone ever have anything like this ... please respond

Almost positive its a cyst...if it hasnt changed in a few years then dont worry about it.

bro I used to have a cyst behind my ear kinda feels like rubber or something similiar in there anyways I had it removed with little amount of scares

If it was cancer and you first noticed it 3 years ago and never had it checked out, you would not be here today. It could be a number of things if it bothers you get it checked out. The worst thing I can think of is some type of pre-cancer where the cells have a chance to mutate. I had one on my shoulder and the Doc decided to remove it and biopsy it. He said he knew it was nothing now but to be sure it doesn't turn into anything he removed it.

Cysts and tumors need a certain amount of blood to grow. They can only grow so big without an added blood supply, and at that point they turn to angiogenesis, which is the formation or growth of blood vessels to help support growth. If it has been 3 years with no change, then dont worry yourself, it is most a likely benign cyst of some sort. I've had a BB sized cyst in my right nipple for at least 10 years with no change. Just go to a doc and have it removed. He will take a biopsy to make sure it isnt malignant.

I HAD A LUMP ON MY NECK FOR 4 YEARS I WAS TOLD BY MY FAMILY DOCTOR IT WAS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. I WEN'T TO ANOTHER DOC AND HE GOT ME AN APP.WITH A SURGON. HE TOOK IT OUT THAT WEEK IT TURNED OUT TO BE A CHOLESTEROL DEPOSIT THE SIZE OF A LARGE POP BOTTLE CAP.

Its a "Fatty " cyst. Just had one removed. Dr. syas it wasn't necessary but I didn't like it. Cut it out right in the office with some Novecan. No big deal, but he did say it will probubly grow back cause they rarely get it all.
