![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey guys, this is the first time in about a week that am posting. Last tues 7-17 I had the extreme enjoyment of experiencing the pleasure of tearing me R pec. I was trying to start training in the mornings (for a multitude of reasons). Anyhow I was benching 315 (not heavy for me) when on about the fourth or so rep, the bar came down and sort of fell to the right a little bit. I felt a sharp collapsing sensation. My partner helped the bar up. I have injured myself so many fucking times that I knew immediately what had happened. I got up and looked in the mirror and saw some of what was my pec staring to try to poke it's torn little body through my skin in my armpit. Oh well, I tried to rationalize treatment plans but knew what I needed. I went to the ER where the on caqll M.D. said they do not usually surgically repair torn pec muscles. I told his sorry ass that I was an avid weight lifter and a D.C. and couldn't take a chance on less than a 100% recovery. He got back in two minutes. I had a consult with a surgeon that morning and surgery the next. I have been black and blue from my right hand down to my right waist and across tmy entire chest. I hope to resume light training (stretching) within the next couple of days. See Ya

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That sucks bro but if it's only going to be a couple of days, which is really surprising, you should feel pretty lucky. Hope things get better quick for ya. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() if the doctor told you it would only be a couple of days for a torn muscle, i'd look into that. streching maybe, but i doubt any lifting. light or other. if you get back to it too soon it'll just take you that much longer to fully heal and in turn it will take that much longer to get back to where you were. heal fast. i hope you weren't in the middle of a cycle! that would really suck IP: Logged |
