I have recently lost about 70 lbs and am in the process of gettin solid. Everything is coming along fine except for all the loose extra skin i have remaining on my stomach. Does any body have any remedies, diets , or exercises to get rid of this shit? IP: Logged |

Shit man I don't know. Do a sick stack and get some nasty abs ripping out to stretch the extra skin. I saw a show where a really fat chick got skinny and they had to cut it off with surgery. Only time I've heard of this. LAter, Green IP: Logged |

two questions: 1) How long did it you spend losing 70 lbs? 2) How much more do you estimate you need to lose? Puc ------------------ IP: Logged |

Only time will tighten things up, you did not put on 70lbs overnight so dont expect to reverse it overnight. IP: Logged |

I am in the same situation. I went from 275 and am currently 195. It took me almost 2 years to take it off. I started lifting seriously to take up the "extra skin". Well it's a year has passed and now I am wondering what to do? I am 28 and have been lifting and eating clean for 3 years now. IP: Logged |

What kind of diet did you go on for that kind of weight loss in only eight months? IP: Logged |

bad news bro, if you loose weight the only way to get rid of that extra skin is surgery of getting bigger so you stretch it out. A buddy of mine went from 220 down to 161 and he had to have the shit sugically removed because he didnt want to get bigger. IP: Logged |

I am in the same boat. I lost 80 pounds in six months, 270 down to 190. Since then I have put on quite a bit of lean body mass which has helped, especially in the arms, but my lower stomach is still horrible. I would have to grow some freakishly huge abs to fill in all that skin. IP: Logged |

I thought that your skin had elastic-like properties that would conform to your physique over time. It is below the skin where the problem lies. Even if you lose weight, you still have all of the fat cells... They are just much much smaller in size. The amount of fat cells that a person has starts in their youth. The only way to remove them is lipo. IP: Logged |

Good and bad news: One, you're young. You should recover. It depends on how fast you put the weight on in the first place. I was in the same boat, and I'm still fighting the extra material around the midsection. If you put the weight on slowly over the years, the skin's elasticity should come into effect. If it's put on fast (like in my case -- put on about 85-90 lbs. in roughly 3 years), then the skin will stretch with obvious marks, and may not recover at all. I'm now looking into plastic surgery to finally take care of the rest. Hope this helps. ------------------ IP: Logged |
