My chest is my worst body part and this cycle I want to focus on it. I usually hit every body part once a week. Now Ive been hitting chest every 4 days. One day heavy and the other light for reps. I know you cant do this natural, but will it benefit me while on a cycle. Thanks IP: Logged |

Pillboy, Chest should not be hit more than once every six days or so. When I did this two years ago I trained Chest every three days and never got any stronger. Youre best bet is to train once every six days and dont do any chest movements in the mean time until next chest day. Recovery is equally important as the initial training!! IP: Logged |

Pillboy, I've found that the most effective way to train chest is to alternate 2 different routines weekly. ie start with inclines one week then next do flat, one week use DB's and next week BB's. IP: Logged |

Actually, it depends on the individual. My chest seems to recover fast, so I've been training it twice a week (Mondays and Fridays). I've been getting good results lately by training it twice a week, hitting some PRs that I haven't come hear in a long time. Legs on the other hand... ------------------ IP: Logged |

Ohh bullshit, Pillboy give it a shot, what the fuck do you have to lose? I normally proscribe to 1 bodypart per week. You should effectivly destroy that muscle group in only one training session. But, lagging bodyparts in my opinion are an entirly different story. Just remember the signs of overtraining. Eat well, bomb your chest on the heavy day, come back 4 days later with light weight and push the blood through . Good luck hope that chest comes up ------------------ IP: Logged |

Well, I hit chest twice a week and go heavy on all of it. I do flats first, then decline, then incline and if I get the urge, I go with dumbells flat. Usually light after the haevy sets. When i was on the gear cycle, I recovered fast and could do it again. I did take my sunday and work the whole body light with good reps of 10-15. If your chest is already lacking, it won't hurt to give it a try. I work chest on monday and saturday. That is 5 days in between, that should be enough for anyone to recoup, even if not doing the gear. ------------------ "Pain is weakness leaving the body>>>" IP: Logged |

Go to- www.musclemedia.com/training/bench/benchintro.asp and/or www.interport.net/~dl/bench2text.htm I'm telling you this works, you'll get stronger and your chest will grow. Give it a try, and do it right don't cheat(you will only cheat yourself) it's only 6-weeks. and it's best if you have a partner! IP: Logged |

On a good cycle, where I recover quickly, I do each group every four days. This is the optimal cycle, mind you. I train each group no more than five days apart. For me...NEVER A LIGHT DAY WHILE ON CYCLE. ------------------ IP: Logged |

i suggest you do pre exhaust techniques.. my pecs were laggin big time to my tris and delts...do high reps of pec dec 15-20.. then do flat flyes(light) 15-20 then pullovers 15-20... do cable crossovers 15-20 also..do around 2 of these pre-exhaust..then do your normal routine IP: Logged |

Pillboy: I've switched over to using dumbells rather than bars, pretty exclusively, and work chest very heavy, very long, once a week. Remember that you're bound to involve your chest a little on shoulder day, that you involve your shoulders a little on chest day, and that you involve your tri's on both chest and arm day. Just like you involve your bi's on back day, your back on leg day, etc., etc.. Thus, it turns out that you're working pretty much everything twice a week even when you have a six way split, once heavy and once light as a byproduct, so don't feel you have to target chest twice a week. Once, long and heavy, should do you fine. Also, I don't know any longer about the value of some of the cable exercises. Used to do them a lot, but never got anywhere. For me, bells seem to do the trick. My $.02. Good luck. Bjaarki ------------------ BECOME SOMEONE'S HERO! IP: Logged |
