When I'm taking clomid, will it increase the effectiveness of my sperm as far as getting my wife pregnant. We are trying to have a kid, and I read somewhere that clomid can help. Any ideas? IP: Logged |

Yeah, clomid is used in mainstream society for help in ovulating. IP: Logged |

If I'm not mistaken, this is what clomid was originally intended for. It's a fertility drug. I looked it up in the Physician's Desk Reference a while back and I hope I remember this right. It was mainly used for fertility problems in women, but I think it said something about men using it now also for this reason. I'm no doctor, this is just the way I understood it. May want to be careful, because I think this helped cause all those octuplets and septuplets on Dateline and 20/20! IP: Logged |

Damn! I don't want octuplets. Should I take it, or should my wife take it, or both? What are the negative side effects for women taking clomid? Would it be effective if I just took it. I'm a lot more willing to take something than she is. IP: Logged |

Just keep her off of your AS! Clomid is taken to help aid in ovulation. My site may talk more about that, if not search the web... [This message has been edited by ajc1977 (edited July 24, 2000).] IP: Logged |

I didn't mean to imply that it always caused octuplets! I just meant that in rare cases it certainly helped. It is not a particularly dangerous drug though. I agree with ajc there should be plenty of info on the web. Try webmd, yahoohealth, etc. IP: Logged |
