When I'm taking clomid, will it increase the effectiveness of my sperm as far as getting my wife pregnant. We are trying to have a kid, and I read somewhere that clomid can help. Any ideas?

Yeah, clomid is used in mainstream society for help in ovulating.

If I'm not mistaken, this is what clomid was originally intended for. It's a fertility drug. I looked it up in the Physician's Desk Reference a while back and I hope I remember this right. It was mainly used for fertility problems in women, but I think it said something about men using it now also for this reason. I'm no doctor, this is just the way I understood it. May want to be careful, because I think this helped cause all those octuplets and septuplets on Dateline and 20/20!

Damn! I don't want octuplets. Should I take it, or should my wife take it, or both? What are the negative side effects for women taking clomid? Would it be effective if I just took it. I'm a lot more willing to take something than she is.

Just keep her off of your AS!

Clomid is taken to help aid in ovulation. My site may talk more about that, if not search the web...

I didn't mean to imply that it always caused octuplets! I just meant that in rare cases it certainly helped. It is not a particularly dangerous drug though. I agree with ajc there should be plenty of info on the web. Try webmd, yahoohealth, etc.
