i take 25 mg once in a while the day after i cheat with my diet to get rid of the extra water. i take some potassium too. it works great for me. What dosage and how often do you think it is dangerous? IP: Logged |

at that dose you are fine. Just dont use it daily or on a regular basis.I dont think its really necessary but if it works for you-thats good. BTW Glucophage is great for when you pig out on carbs ------------------ IP: Logged |

Do you take it IV or IM? Also to much or to little KCL will stop your heart. Its a low dose either route you are taking it. Ive pushed 80mg IV in people with CHF but their lytes are also closely watched. If I were using a K wasting loop diuretic I would have a chem pannel drawn to see were my lytes stood.........Good Luck, The Freak IP: Logged |

fener, IV=intraveinous (thru the veins); and, IM=intramuscular (thru the muscle). But, I am confused as well...the only Lasix I know of (or will take) comes in tabs. IP: Logged |

It was late when I posted that and for some reason was not even thinkiing about tabs. It is presented in a liquid for IV or IM use but, after his last post Im sure he's using it po. It still watch my lytes if I were using it though............The Freak IP: Logged |

yes i 'm taking 25 mg tabs. My gramma has a prescription for 1 tab eod. I took 1 tab per week the day after my cheating day as i said,and it works great and i 'm not willing to increase the dosage. But i'm a little worried because everybody is telling me it is so dangerous. Is it really so much dangerous if i keep doing like this? I want to feel safe so guys tell me. IP: Logged |
