T minus 2 days till wisdom teeth extraction. I know I already posted a board on the effects of anesthesia on someone two weeks into a test prop cycle of 400mg/week. If i could have some more opinions maybe I'll feel a little better. Hopefully someone has had surgery while on a cycle and lived to tell me I'll be alright. The doc said he'll hit my mouth with novicane and either use gas or IV anesthetics to put me under. What do you think? Thanks. IP: Logged |

Hmm? Good question, I would definetly tell the doc before he administered me any anesthesia! Just be straight with him and tell him what you've been doing. IP: Logged |

Well I've been under 6 times. Twice while cycling with no problems. But be honest with them in case something does go wrong. IP: Logged |

I was in the same boat. On the question sheet they ask you to fill out it asks if you are on steriods, but they mean asma ones. Anyway i asked my family Dr. instead of the surgon and he said not to worry about it. IP: Logged |

Vinny, If you are iv sedated, they will probably use versed,a benzodiazepine .opiates(valium) decrease the rate of breathing while benzodiazepinesmay increase it, thus offsetting each others effects on breathing rate. Thus a normal rate of breathing occurs which may however be shallow enough to cause significant drop in oxygenation. Its duration may extend well beyond the procedure.Only the pain impulses from the region of the body being anesthetized are blocked. These forms of anesthesia leave the patient conscious and are very safe. Vital signs are not affected.Just tell your doc,he is bound by oath to keep it confidential!!!!!!!! IP: Logged |

hey vinny, last year i was about to have surgery done to my mouth, and i told the surgeon that i had taked 4 ccs of test 2. he said that the steroids would make me bleed more than usual, and because of that i had to postpone for a year. just tell him what you are on, and see what he says. they are cool about it. i still live at home, and he has kept it quiet. the danger is not being put to sleep. it is the extra bleeding that is caused by the steroids. my surgeon got his information from an endorcrinologist. so just tell him, and see what he says. you may be ok peace IP: Logged |

Vinny, I've gone completely under several times while on, and the only comment from my doctor was his compliment on how fast I was healing. I didnt tell them I was on (probably not wise in retro), but I needed the surgerys and didnt want to risk postponement until a Doc who was savvy could act. Best would be to ask a friend/doctor. I had corrective surgery on my nose a couple of years back. They ask you what meds you are on just so they are more prepared for what may be a "bleeder". Don't be afraid to tell them what you are on....doctor/patient confidentiality remember? IP: Logged |

Vinnie: Bro you need to relax and not be dramatic.Taking some testosterone (you amount is very small) has almost NO effect what soever.I know people say that anabolics can increase bleeding time but that amount is so SMALL. Taking aspirin before surgery would have a hell of alot more on Prothrombin and Partial Prothrombin times (two tests asssociated with time that it takes blood to clot) than anabolics. No surgery will be held up because you said you did some juice. Vinny, anyone who tells you so is full of shit and over reacting. I know because I am an RN work in a surgical unit. ------------------ IP: Logged |

don't take the risk. Tell him and let him tell the Anesthesiologist (if there is one) so if something goes wrong they have an idea of what it could be and what to do. Always put your safety first. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I also might need to get my wisdom teeth removed soon, I've just started on deca and am about to add test in a week. Should I wait until I finish the cycle or hold off and get the surgery done first. I'm not definite that I need them taken out, I can feel them just starting to come in, they hurt a bit. How long I wonder could i put it off before it gets really painful? IP: Logged |

I appreciate that last reply goleASS. Thank you guys for giving me the low down on what you know. I may tell the doctor i'm taking andro because it has the same effect as test, just on a smaller scale. At least andro is legal and then he can't say a thing. Thanks again. IP: Logged |
