I am sending some stuff to a mailbox etc box and i am just wondering if i should send it to boxholder or not.. i no if you use boxholder then you can claim that the stuff must have been for the person b4 you that had the box.. but i am wondering if that would cause more suspicion from customs? Should i just write a fake name down? will it still go to my box?

tell your source to not put a name on it. As long as a box number is there they'll deliver. You don't have to have a name on the package at all.

You can also have him send it using a fake company name....like (internet innovations)...that's just a stupid example...or you can use you initials....I haven't tried it before, I don't have a P.O..But that's what I would do. I think you would have a better chance of getting it than if you were to put a fake name.

In the past when I used MBE, they asked that you include on your sign-up form all of the names that you might be receiving mail for. They didn't enforce this too well though as I used a couple of different names that I didn't include on the form, but it's something to keep in mind and want might want to look into.

Bros - These are some good ideas.

Has anyone ever had any problems with the law or anything, when having gear shipped to a PO box at Mailboxes, etc.?

I personally haven't used MBE to receive gear, but there are many stories of folks getting busted when receiving at MBE. Just remember it's no safer than receiving at home, and could potentially be more dangerous than receiving at home since you can't watch for suspicious looking people monitoring the location. The only benefits of receiving at MBE are that it gives you privacy from other housemates, and your source won't know where you live.

So - In everyone's opinion, what is the safest way to have gear delivered by mail?

The company name idea was good, but MBE requires you to have a business account with them for that stuff... they charge extra for that and may not deliver it. Try using something like "System Administrator" or "ATTN: Apartment Manager" or some fake title like that.

If someone wanted to obtain a box under a fake ID I know that now even the private places require ID's has anyone tried the fake ID's obtainable online a bunch of BS scammers or what?

(please dont tell me that getting a fake ID will only worsen matters in the eye of the law b/c I know this)
