![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was told to get really ripped you should take potassium a week before your event like this..(each pill is 99mgs) day 1 = 1 pill every other hour Does this really work and has anyone tried it or know anything about it? I know that potassium intake can be up to 3500mgs a day, but any more runs the risk of cardiac arrest. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes increasing potassium will make you lose water...by excrecting the sodium When you are dehydrated you lose electrolytes like potassium, calcium and magnesium so this is why it is best to supplement when using a diuretic. Before my show I was taking about 3000mg a day for the last week... Don't use this with a potassium sparing diuretic like aldactone. It's to be used with stuff like lasix because it is not a potassium sparring diuretic. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() careful messing with your potassium levels. in a nutshell, calcium and potassium are used to convey nerve impulses, get too much of one and you can mess up your nervous system. thats what happened to mike matarrazo. just cause its a mineral doesnt mean it cant mess you up. careful bro. do some or your research in medical journals too. not just anecdotal theory.
