Like the others said, not very fall at all. Just enough to see either air or blood come in the syringe.

yup ... madbombers got it right ... pullback until you see some boiling or blood . If you see bubbles push that stuff on in there , if you see blood ( ive given myself literally hundreds of shots and ive never aspirated blood , but i did give my friend a "bad shot" about 8 years ago so i know it can happen ) pull the syringe out and poke it in again in different spot .
Good Luck

Yes. Crazy like foxes. Green light for bubbles of your own fluid and red for blood.

I still don't agree that you need to pull back. I know some say Doctors do it but I've never had one do it and everyone I've asked says no way for i.m. injections. If you actually were in a vein, dead on, you would not be able to budge the plunger forward. At this point you would pull it out and go again. If you are going glutes/quads and using a 22/23 guage you have nothing to worry about.

Why not pull back? It only takes a split second. I have hit blood before, it sucked.

1ml??? Do not pull that far back unless you want a piece
ass in the syringe hehe. If you've hit a vein you will know
if you pull back only a little, the blood will draw itself
through the barrel of the syringe and you will see it clearly.
No suction is good, little bubble of air is good.

LATERS.

If I pull back the slighest, the plunger will fall out of the syringe.

Fall out?? I shoot a full 3cc's every three days and never had a plunger fall out??!!! There is a small stop on it. You really have to pull past that stop to make it come out!!! Even with three cc's there is more room to pull!!! About half a cc's worth.

There's no need to pull back. That must suck!! I feel sorry for the newbies who are going to pull back. Theres capillaries and veins all over body. You are bound to hit it. Anyway, like I said before, the pros don't do it.
